hey popigiorgos , i'm a Red Cross admin/ blue chip investor. how clear does my head have to be to help people in need and earn money off other companies profitable businesses. so don't be sorry , we love you too.
@popigiorgos I have a clear head and I don't get it. It's way too repetitive for me, I'm more of a infected mushroom guy. Like the sparaticness of how they keep a beat yet each measure of the song is mixxed completely different.
@ThatGermanGuy1292 I'm mainly checking this guy out because a chick friend was bragging about seeing him a while back. I like electronica bands like infected because they do interesting things. They're guitarist is ran through a chaos pad which a dj mixxes while he's playing live and the same goes for the drummer. He's also sampling and mixxing the lyrics as well. I'm a musician so I like that live instrumental shit. The one dj I like is Dj spun but I can't find his shit anywhere.
Tak. Dave Seaman w Cape Town to mistrzostwo swiata. Szczegolnie II czesc, ktora krazy w necie. Zawsze przechodza ciary po plecach, kiedy slyszy sie ta muze.
I didn't like LA originally. Ahead of its time maybe. My top 3 GUs would be Sasha SanFran CD1, Seaman Capetown CD1 and Warren Reykjavik CD 2. Just a great Label that has always maintained its integrity.
Seaman in Cape Town was the first serious electronic music I ever bought (as opposed to the colorful "this is techno" crapfests), it broke me in on prog house and I still love it dearly. Digweed in LA on the other hand took A LOT of getting used to. I've grown into it since I bought it in late '01. Is there any place in central California that plays anything that even approaches this?
Seaman - Cape Town - was the first one I bought and I'll never forget the first time I heard the amazing sounds of the Hacienda Must Be Rebuilt shuddering the speakers. Vellum was incredible as well
i have to disagree. sasha's GU sanfran and his ibiza set are the best in the series followed by sander kleinenbergs NuBreed and any of the Lights Out albums.
I agree to epic albums for sure, but i also highly rate Dave Seaman (Capetown) whata a record,
Also another 1 is Paul Oakenfold in New York wata an absolute master piece also, but i must say the 1 that always stood out for me was Sasha (Ibiza) i had most of em, true world class label, which has now become nomore, all your GU albums will be like collectors items trust me.
i forgot about Capetown that set was fucking epic. I also love Nick Warrens Brazil GU the mixing was shit but the choons were fucking ace. I had no idea that the GU label had went under if its no more that realy sucks.
im confused too....he obviously doesnt really know wht hes talking about......the underground music scene is changing....but its getting even better!!!!
All Digweeds transition albums are bob on!! every sasha and digweed set iv ever seen has blown me away!
Music will never die!!............so jog on Ullahufukbar77!
im confused by the last comment. there is still a thriving underground dance scene in the u.k, with digweeds transitions sets and sasha pionering with abelton live and the Maven. like most things in life u simpley get older and what was new and fresh to u then seems out of date now. times and people change as does music and i for one am glad it does......
i've been djing for over 10 years now so to say i just listen to electronic music is a bit vauge. the term 'raver' went out of fasion in the early 90's in the u.k so if u mean that your a bit old school and you prefere old school choons thats fine. i myself like a mix of old and new. i listen to alot of proggresive house in fact id go as far 2 say its all i listen 2 and still go clubbing 2 see sasha, digweed, klienenberg, papa, zabaila 2 name but a few whenever i can so i must be a 'raver' as well?
Well yes i believe u would b a 'raver' as well. 4 me it started 97-98 n peaked 99-01. But N.America is usually a few yrs behind europe/uk in fashion/music. i only just discovered the rave scene actually peaked Early 90s UK as u said. But i think sasha/digweed, klienenberg, oakenfold(ie97-99EssentialMixes) EtcEtc-and that whole EPIC DARK HAIR-RAISING HAUNTING POWERFUL RAW BADASS vibe, where you FELT the music, like you were IN it, rather than listening 2 it- THAT was RAVING!
May ur soul live on 4ever in the hearts of the lucky few who were blessed 2 experience u in ur short, glorious life.
U were taken away 2 soon fr ur loved 1's by commercialism, sellout djs and the bastardization of elctrnc music. And, i guess, by the simple universal fact that things must always change. Even when they couldn't possibly get any better..
We mourn u everyday but u continue to inspire us from beyond the grave..
hypnotic throbbing monster...this ones an epic, I gotta say I love these kind of slow build ups...it starts by getting under your skin at first and then your whole being gradually becomes possessed...a beauty. :-)
Best describes the sensation I felt when I first heard Digweed drop this some years ago. Seldom have I since seen a room erupt in the same way since!!!
@projectseal .....so fucking true mate, thats so uncanny - that was a frequent conversation with my crowd, funny as fuck to see that in writing man ha ha
Love Diggers..but If I was waiting in a club for 4 mins for this track to kick in....on or off it, ( and lets not fuck about nothing banged for 4 mins), I WOULD HAVE TOLD HIM TO FUCK OFF. Post 4 mins it goes off, the pre instrumenstruel is a fucking bore.......
The Fall, by Way out West(Bedrock Remix - that's digweed). Both Way Out West and Digweed are masterminds. Check out more WoW stuff like Spaceman and Perfect Motion remix.
@StanwoodDesign Do you know which version this is? I have the Bedrock Vocal Mix on vinyl but the breakdown in that is only about 1 minute in length where as the breakdown in this track is 4 minutes. I much prefer the version in this video :)
lol ! ate some candy, sat back in a lazy boy and closed my eyes listening to this album and woke up as a Ninja ! Digweed brings it ! those were the days.......
Is this track new? (as in later than 02) In my opinion its fairly lackluster compared to J.D.'s other works.
