What is the deal with this trend of commercials depicting husbands as the buffoon, and wives as the level headed one who just tolerates his idiocy? Just an observation...
I totally agree. People need to be very careful with Vonage. I was a customer with Vonage Canada and when I transferred to another carrier, they extortionately charged me another month of service even though I was no longer their customer for that month period. I got harassed by their credit collection agency for refusing to pay for another month of service which Vonage no longer provides to me. This was a lesson to me. I will never, never, never deal with Vonage again. You have been warned.

I love this commercial, it cracks me up every time I see it, but am I supposed to stop laughing because someone tells me I don't have an "advanced sense of humor?" There's all kinds of funny, people. Get a grip.

The genius in this ad comes in the last few seconds. When she realizes what her bozo hubby was doing, her facial expression said so much. She couldn't even hold a smile as the realization of total hopelessness overwhelms her. saddest look I've ever seen...especially the last second before the camera goes off.
She's an actress, this was Take 37 on the day they shot it, inside of a warehouse converted to a film stage. Therefore she was not surprised, there is nothing spontaneous about the commercial. It is not a documentary, where they just happened to have the TV cameras in her home that day. Oh, and the man is another actor, it is not her hubby, though you're right: he is a bozo, and so is the ad agency writer who crafted this s.h.i.t.

@HunterMann dude, it's a commercial used to sell vonage AND entertain.. no one really cares if it's acting or not. i bet you don't care when you watch tv or a movie when something funny happens.. it's funny so that it'll keep attention. you wouldn't watch a BORING commercial/movie/tv show, now would you?
