  • Hey cut that out!

    I ain't cutting it out!

    Then stop it out!

  • The United Steaks of America

  • Brutus was a lot more sympathetic than Bluto. Bluto in the early cartoons was just a mean and sadistic bully.

  • I like that these have all the characters, but MAN, some of the animation/drawing is BAD! Popeye's eyes were BOTH OPEN!

  • I understand Browny, but i think they are like this because when they parted ways with PARAMOUNT (Jack Kinney and company ) they lacked the funds to produce these the way they wanted!

  • hhhhheyyyy wait are you pilipino..

  • The Popeye toons from the 30s and 40s were far better than these ones.

  • I always liked these KFS Popeyes better! They have all the Original Thimble theatre characters in it! The others before this just focused on ,Olive ,Bluto, and Popeye!

  • I do too. As I think these are the best ones!

  • Yes J, and its hard to crack on the animation because there are a lot of famous cartoons with low budet animation! Thanx!

  • belt him, wop him, sock him!!!!

  • love the variation on the song in the beginning!!! nothing wrong with the original but this one was the best yet is hardest to find.

  • Man! I haven't seen this since '82! Brings back memories! Thanks for posting this!

  • @DrJPhoenixx same here lol

  • ooooh! sweepea so cute when he talks!

  • "I think he's cute"haven't seen these since the 80s.Thank you and post as many as you can.

  • Jack Kinney kicks ass!!!

  • I would say that the early 60's made for t.v. Popeye cartoons that were directed by Jack Kinny were the better cartoons

  • @billyk5775 There were a total of 85 5 1/2 minute cartoons from 1960-1962 made and directed by five different directors including one from Paramount Pictures Corporation. Used to be aired on Saturday mornings on local TV. They aired 17 episodes (5 cartoons each) in a 30 minute span without commercials.

  • @Rlotpir1972 I know. Some of these 60,s Popeye tv cartoons were distributed by Larry Harmon Productions, the same producers of Bozo the Clown and the one I mentioned were produced by Gene Dietch who also produced the early 60's Tom and Jerry cartoons. Paramount also produced these tv cartoons also. You can tell by the musical score by Winston Sharples.

  • Brutus was such a wuss. Bluto would've broken Popeye in half and killed both of those trees (barring the spinach, of course)

  • If anyone has more of these Popeyes with the Sea Hag and Alice the Goon please post them! Brutus is great Bluto is a bum. Thanks for these priceless cartoons from the 60s.

  • very cool. been looking for the ones with Brutus. lol funny how Bluto had the big chest and Brutus has the big gut instead.

  • I am hoping to find all of these when I was a kid.
