One of my favorite cinematics of all time. Tyreal never looks cooler than he does in this one. Very well done, I just wish we could have seen him fighting them off even more because seeing him wailing on Diablo (in wanderer form) with his epic sword never gets old.

@LeikaMafian No, it was Baal. As I recall, they don't really ever go into detail about what Mephisto was up to before the other two prime evils meet him in Act 3. This cinematic takes place between Acts 2 and 3, and here Diablo goes to free Baal so that the two of them can reconvene with their eldest brother, Mephisto.

Its good, but its ruined by its brevity, Tyrael seems only mildly peeved with marius, and there is a sudden jump cut to him just... lecturing and telling him to go to hell.... literally.

@Lackey32167 I agree, that that was very well done. It reminds me of when Moses sees the burning bush in "The Prince of Egypt." The voice of God was firm and even threatening, but was also soft and kind when he realized Moses was frightened.

Ah I can't wait for Diablo 3. You never fight Tal-Rasha ( which is the guy he released from that wall ) in Diablo 2. That should be interesting, and probably the reason 20 years later in Diablo 3, the world is under attack again.

@ItShouldBeAboutYou In fact, Tal Rasha had been consumed by Baal, similarly as the hero of Daiblo 1 ( the companion in this cinematic) had been consumed by Daiblo himself. That means that no Tal Rasha exists now...only Baal and Baal was ''killed'' at the Worldstone Chamber, so Tal Rasha is outta question absolutely :-)
