Looking at how simple the music is and how bad the production is, I find it astonishing that it can sound so good! Black metal, especially the old simple underproduced stuff like this, has a way of sounding so beautiful despite being some of the most chaotic, most distorted, music out there.

Probably my favorite track off of "T.H" ......Brutal, yet beautiful somehow.... Listening to this though makes me long for the past. I wish that they would get back to making some more freezing cold Black Metal, instead of this horrendous "punk-ish" crap that they've been doing (or else use a different name besides DARKTHRONE). It's kinda hard to wear my "True Norwegian Black Metal" t-shirt , when they don't play anything that even resembles Black Metal anymore.

Well yeah but they did use a bass you can hear it at 2:16 and remember same as the guitars they are picking really fast so the sound it's different.

I wonder if Nocturno Culto used any effects on his voice. I can't hear any echoes or anything like you hear on ''A Blaze...'' and ''Total Death''. It sounds like a really raspy spoken voice... scary stuff

Well this song is actually written by Varg Vikernes, the 4 last songs on "Transilvanian hunger" were written by him shortly after he entered prison

Perhaps i was tired and thus it seemed "fuzzy" but yes i was talking about the lyrics when i wrote "its actually written by...."

Each time i use "Written by" i refer to the lyrics, each time i use "Composed by" im referring to the music itself.

I have the CD myself and ive read the booklet where Fenrix & Nocturno pays tribute to Varg so i know that its about the lyrics

I like bands that can create the cold, bleak fucking hopeless atmosphere but display some musicianship is all.
