  • Hahahahahahhahahhhhhhhhahhahahaahhahahahaha XD

"There`s no Oxygen... There`s no Oxygen inside of the balloon..." XD

  • LOL! Pete just made a rocket out of a balloon! :)

  • Comment removed

  • This is why the Hindenburg became a giant ball of flame, rather than a huge explosion.

  • @Tossphate Hydrogen + a thermite-coated dirigidible = Jamie wanting a BIG boom!

  • @CapPicard 750 lbs of C4 and a beaten down old cement truck = it no longer being about the myth, only about the big boom.

  • Am I the only one hearing tellie tubbies at the very end shouting ''again, again!''? It's at 3:31

  • Nice to know that scientists can also swear like troopers. :-)

  • when detonators fail

put a match on a stick

  • pfff - i thought all good chemists were pyros lol

these are funny thanks for posting :)

  • 2:36 woo-hoo!

  • 2:43 was cool

  • so THAT's why he said lovely :)

  • lmfaooo

  • LOL! You just made a balloon rocket. :)

  • Check out the length of that beep, now that's a BRITISH professor of chemistry that is right there :D

    Makes ya proud

  • Can we please stop exploiting balloons? :D

  • "5...4...3...2...1...beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep"

    Now THAT was amusing.

  • Poor peter... :(

  • you can't "see" hydrogen escape, only evidence that it is escaping due to the deflation of the balloon.

  • @godliesforfun You can see it the same way that you can see the heat over a toaster. Like a blur.

  • Oh dear, poor Pete! LOLOLOL

  • Lol leave it to a bunch of Chemists to forget that for it to combust you need Oxygen!

  • next time do it with an 8ft weather balloon

  • Oh man "there's no oxygen."

I couldn't help but think 'Grab the camera and make a mad dash for the nearest high-powered electromagnet so no one can prove it happened!'

That's gotta be chemistry's version of "oops, it's not plugged in."

  • haha "there's no oxygen!"

  • love beeping!

  • haha...did u all notice at he last part?

    again again again

  • 0:58

    "3,2,1.....F*** IT!"

Hhahahshsa chemistry is all about failing, don't worry.

  • Tell that to my professor :P

  • @Draxis32 anyway who`s going to f**k it

  • Again! /teletubbies

  • no technology is more advanced than match on a stick

  • Bigger! I want you to recreate Hindenburg!

  • Rofl. Baloon fail. n.n

  • We did hydrogen balloons at my high school and got a "flare" - except the balloon landed on the teacher's desk and set it on fire!

  • what was that guy doing to the big red balloon after they found out they put a match inside a balloon with no oxygen? and what did they mean by "stop the leakage"?

  • He stuck something over the hole so they didn't have to fill another balloon. And that's what he meant by 'stop the leakage'

  • funny!!nice very interesting

  • oh i wanna know what he said in 1:57 lol

    keep on making your videos!

  • haha 1:57 = longest swearing ever so funny

  • isn´t it? xD

  • How did you insert this link?

  • haha lol great video

  • fucking hilarious!!!! lmao

  • Seriously, as soon as he said "this time we've put the match inside the balloon" I was wondering: "How the hell will that help? You need oxygen to make it go boom! They must surely have a chemist's trick up their sleeve!" ... *no boom* ... "They didn't? Hahaha, how lovely." :D

    I really love these periodic table-videos. Non-stop 5 stars.

  • lol nice video.

  • The world famous match on a stick.

  • Ha ha! Giving the balloon the bird was awesome!

    DFTBA

  • I can't believe they put the match INSIDE the balloon. Yes, no oxygen in there.. haha.

  • That was glorious. I laughed, I cried(from laughter), I felt Dr. Licence's pain.

  • the nicest machines are no match for the match on a stick GREAT CURSING

  • Science: attempting to explode balloons using a match on a stick :D

  • Ah the challenges of balloons :p. Nice vid.

  • Hahaha, transparent balloons explode easier I see.

  • the skin is thinner and has more tension so the pressure inside them is bigger. the thinner skin just flies away to let the whole thing go faster instead of taking a long time to melt and then stay where it is to let the hydrogen out veeeeeery sloooowly
