This song is actualy based on a true story, the circus would lure children in and force them to perform. They would rape them onstage and if they resisted they would pour acid onto their eyes to make them blind. They would also cut them up and make them deformed. Some parents would even sell their children since everyone was low on money in the Edo Period.
