  • Would have been nuts if Albert Lee or James Burton was up on that stage with them.

  • Some Arpeggios

  • Just realized I've been listening to Bill Kirchen since about 1973 when he was with Commander Cody. I have one of their early live CD's, great songs and great picking by Bill.

  • Everything is better when it's covered with Redd! I've seen faster and louder country pickers, but none have the fluidity and style and tone that Redd does.

  • Jeez, I wonder if Redd does anything else. He knows his way around that neck like no one I've ever seen before.

  • Stunning!

  • I alway's like this song

  • SWEET JESUS!!!!!!

  • the drummer needs a click track no meter at all hahah

  • It's jaw droppin' time! Love that thar chicken pickin'!

  • keep on picking!!

  • Holy Moly, what a set! I'm not a big country music fan but this transends any genre. Great musicianship. I don't think it gets any better anywhere!

  • God i'm just speachless.... what a set...please, please tour the UK.....

  • Jesus God--what the hell was that at 1:30?!? Amazing. Redd has some big damn ears to be able to pull THAT off.

  • one way to hear it is like C# diminished over the E7... creates a b5 sound among other cool things :-) neato

  • Love Redd! His tone is superb, his licks are top-notch. But Bill is my man! Great player and super nice guy.

  • Redd's playing is kinda similar to Danny Gatton.

  • his main guitar definitely doesn't have a B bender, although i'm sure he has a few teles w/ that feature

  • does anybodey know if redds using a b bender?

  • looks like hes not using, probably he bends the neck

  • @machrochronic no, he most certainly is not using a b-bender... that's all in his sausage-shaped fingers... the man's a MONSTER !!!

  • redd is so cool doing all those licks while playing and singing at the same time he is a great man i love watching him playing thanks redd

  • I first heard this song on the legendary "Hot Licks, Cold Steel and Truckers Favorites" by Commander Cody. Of course, Bill was the telemaster (if I dare say that over objections from Danny Gatton fans). Living in Austin has exposed me to Redd. What a joy! He absolutely kills when he plays the Saxon Pub. If you are here and you get the chance...do not miss him!

  • Man Redd is a shredder on that tele, love that tone he has, and he plays so clearly, and effortlessly, the other guy is a little more strained sounding.

  • That was FANTASTIC.......kudos to both pickers extraordinaire

  • There's more math in either one of these solos than you'll find in most math rock, as well as more chords, counterpoint time changes, etc. Putting distortion on a guitar and calling that progressive is jive! The only difference between good music and bad music is good music tends to sound better...

    You need to listen more...

  • 2 great guit players!

  • Life jes' ain't fair sometimes.

  • A gatton lick at 1:28? Go Redd. Tele bashin' deeeluxe!

  • I thought the same thing.

  • Redd runs circles around Bill who's great too.

Wish Redd could try a little Dead music - those guys could tour again if they had him filling in for Jerry.

  • My oh my! No wonder both Bill and Redd are legends!

  • redd the best ever !!!!!!

  • fantastic thanks for posting redd sure is great.
