  • ELLA! Me agrego a tus lamentos, reclamos, visiones, desideratas a la LUNA.

(Nauj, from La Paz, Bolivia) Cantas hermosamente Lindo.

  • Mom x

  • なんか、ロマンチックやねぇ~。ええやんけ。

  • i heard this on cold case (like i do most old songs) and fell in love wit it because it reminds me of my first love <3

  • If we could just get back to where the musicians decided the way music developed instead of the producers who are only interested in what sells. As anyone who reads newspapers knows...crap sells.

  • definitely one of the best female vocalists to sing with her clothes on..

  • I Love this song....

Ella Fitzgerald voice is just perfect

  • unlimited lovely beautiful

  • @mscinematic40 well said! :-D

  • I just love that type of slow old-fashioned songs, I wish there was someone I could dance with x/

  • I hate how people come to these videos to brag about how they are only teenagers but listen to good old music and not the garbbage of today and how they are the only ones to do so etc.you expect someone to applaud you because you know a good song when you hear one or do you actually believe there isn't good music out there if you look for it?Age or taste don't matter, just listen to the song and SHUT UP.

  • From the time when music was made for one's soul- not penis...

  • "Blue moon, you saw me standing alone, without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own..."

  • no one should give a fuck who's music you listen to

  • Truly a masterpiece. There will never be another Ella ever again, but Her voice will live on forever.

  • I like Ella and Gaga both and I'm seventeen. I don't get why it has to be one or the other... This song is truly gorgeous.

  • i love this song..

  • this is the only version that makes me sing.

  • aaaahh pure voice, true music..... i wish my generation knew about songs like these...hey kids born in the 90's and above......THIS IS MUSIC

  • Pure voice, pure melody. What else is there to ask for?..

  • Blue Moon...

    You saw me standing alone

Without a dream in my heart

Without a love of my own♫♫

  • Beautiful. Makes me cry

  • GO CITY! TODAY!

  • Manchester City FC!

  • Music will never be the same T.T

  • Dean Martin's version is better... =)

  • And for those who hate today's music, listen to Gabby Young or D.S.O. You may start believing in music again.

  • Contemporary music isn't crap, not everything is JB or such crap. There's very good music being made this days, unfortunately, NOBODY wants to listen to it. Why? either they're like "No, I only like cute boys/slutty girls singing" or "Meh, today's music is crap, I'll only listen to things older than me."

I'm not saying old music is worse than contemporary, SOME old music was (and is) beautiful, some was (and is) CRAP. Same happens with contemporary.

  • @otharennaur I agree. But it's a shame that the 'good' stuff is so rare. It's out there for sure. But there's a certain sentimentality and timelessness to the oldies! :)) They are "forever." There are really cool artists that I love to sort of find hidden somewhere in the depths of iTunes :P I just love the oldies tho cuz they hold such authenticity.

  • @mscinematic40 Maybe because all vintage stuff has a certainly unexplinable charm. Vinyl, polaroids, old fashion clothes, classic cars, you name it. Vintage is cool.

  • @mscinematic40 Totally, man:) We always kind of fall back on retro

  • I love this classic love song

    song by Ella Fitzgerald

    the song is timeless

  • In the 1984 I had the great previlege to see Ella Fitzgerald in a concert in my city. One of the most beautiful memories of my life!! A sublime voice!!!

  • que maravilla la voz de esta mujer!!!!!!!

  • Excelente !

  • gaga me She could only sing this in her and your dreams. When Lady gaga meets her maker and he or she says tell the truth could you sing like ella, and remember you can only enter heaven if your right what do you think she will say

  • Wow !!! Ella you are the best.

  • Sergio Kun Aguero

  • i wish i could sing this song- i like to try

  • @StalkerDellaNote13 It shows that not all teenagers of today are influenced by the truly untalented artists in the music industry as most are. It shows that there's actual hope for the taste of music in man kind...

  • the only sense it makes is that it shows someone has good taste in music and has a good ear for true artists, however ur comment on the other hand reveals how insecure u are....anyhoo, thats just my observation :D

  • ...Blue Moon... que musica!!!

  • I would want the world to go through World War 1 and 2, and the Great Depression just so these people could be seen and heard again, and we could prevent the conception of people like Beiber and Gaga.

  • @Lokuulio

    ...

  • @eleshar83 its what i use for everything xD

so its easy to remember (X

  • SO SWWET SWEEET

  • Ella Fitzgerald is really the best vocal in Jazz.

  • this is divine God......luv my Moon.....

  • Essa musica é linda é atemporal

  • Ella Fitzgerald remains without competitor. We feel that she means every word she sings. We call this TALENT. Thanks a lot for posting this beautiful song.

  • Simple. Short. Beautiful. <3

  • that is very very helpful thanks:D

  • i really like this video

  • Nothing beats a shitty day like Ella Fitzgerald and a bottle of Whiskey, and I'm 19!

  • A Blue Moon is the second full moon occuring in one month.

    A L A

  • Comment removed

  • amazing !!! but the moon is blue like "the blues" not like the colour :)

  • Comment removed

  • This has got to be one of the most beautiful versions of this song. Ella is just pitch perfect.

  • Gr8.!!!Thx./{♥)I(♥}\..."

  • and this is music! old classic songs, damn i luv it!

  • God i love this song

    And i'm only 14

    And i love it

  • I'm not sure when exactly I started to listen to Ella, but one thing's for sure: my life's never been the same since. What a woman!

  • man love ella! her voice is soft yet sassy!

  • This is real music<333

  • I was born on a blue moon...

  • I had been practicing that song for a long time :)

  • what sense does it make to announce your a teenager listening to jazz

does it make you hip or unique to listen to artists such as ella fitzgerald, frank sinatra, louis armstrong??

  • @StalkerDellaNote13 what's the point of asking such a question? What's not to love about a person appreciating an era she didn't have the privilege of participating in?

    Honestly.

Anyway, this song is a wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, you have my eternal love and favor.

  • @StalkerDellaNote13 In a world full of justin beibers and lady gagas i think its refreshing to hear that teenagers appreciatehe great standards of the past...and yes im in my 20's! Lol

  • @StalkerDellaNote13 kinda does. nobody my age cares about this stuff. be kind to us kids! we're the ones who will carry this great era of music on. we just wanna show we don't ALL fall for Justin Bieber or Gaga or Ke$ha, etc. basically. yeah. :)

  • @mscinematic40 got a point there.

  • @mscinematic40 Well said! Although now I've turned twenty, haha:-) Although, It IS quite annoying to see a friend who declares she loves 'jazzy' music when all she's ever heard was probably 'Fly Me to the Moon' and she doesn't even know Ella Fitzgerald

  • @mscinematic40 Well it doesnt make us "hip"? Only hip people, call themselves that. And to be Frank, I couldnt give a fuck if anyone thinks im "hip" or even "lame" or "uncool", it other peoples problems if they think that, not mine. I just love Jazz. Is there a problem with teenagers appreciating a fine form of art, old man? Or a teenagers too much for you these days.....

  • @brunyee420 For one thing, it's usual to find people into the 1960s (BEATLES) but it's not very common to find teens into like sweet 40s-50s songs and all that jazz. I don't really care what anyone thinks about me either....? I haven't found anyone I know who listens to this kind of stuff WILLINGLY. People in my class for english laughed at Billie Holiday and Nina Simone. I love Jazz, too. I find your term 'old man' inaccurate what the..And teens in general are narrowminded so yea. I disapprove

  • @mscinematic40 i feel the same all the time.. i find myself listening jazz and it makes me feel like no music would ever make me feel.. completely :D

  • @mscinematic40 I'm fourteen and I really dislike Justin Bieber. I'll always love these old songs, they are really special to me. THIS IS BETTER THAN GAGA OR KESHA WILL EVER BE!

  • @StalkerDellaNote13 they're proud of themselves for listening to great music at a such a young age. don't hate, this music's for everyone and anyone.

  • @StalkerDellaNote13 it kinda does.

  • @StalkerDellaNote13 RIGHT?!! egocentric people.

  • This is the most beautiful song ever!

  • My chorus teacher says that Ella Fitzgerald is her FARVORITE singer EVER!!!!!!!

  • I like this song and Ella as well!

    Greetings from Ukraine ))

  • Blue(full-super) Moon, you saw me standing alone... XD

  • nowhere boy brought me here :/

  • I've been a fan of Ella Fitzgerald, since I was probably around six. I'm fourteen, and I still love her with all my heart. Jazz will never die.

  • im 14 years old and i love ella fitzgerald! beautiful voice.

  • Any think there is a teen market for jazz?

  • @SamTheToyRobot me!!!!

  • I'm 17 too, i love this, its so beautiful. :)

  • im 17(:

  • Im 16 years old. I love this.

  • What a voice,what a song..

  • Im only watchng this because i seen mertons piano chatroulette video

  • my mom says i have an old soul because i liked this kind since i was little and being 18 i revel that fact :) and 3 people who listened to this dont have a good ears

  • Além Do Arco-Íris

  • always in my heart, lovely song.

  • I'd like to see gaga or kesha perform a song like this without vocal editor....

  • they arent worthy of this song-smack- dont ever say that again -smack- that second smack was for emphasis

  • @cobaltsky89 honestly, lady gaga does have a great voice, especially when she sings her ballad (called "speechless") live. it's just that she rarely chooses to use her voice to its fullest potential. it's a real shame that people don't often engage in true musicianship like ella did anymore.

  • @cobaltsky89 gaga can actually sing! search for an acoustic performance .. she's good! (even i don't like her electronic sh*t)

  • @cobaltsky89 gaga can, kesha might be able to, with some lessons. what an ignorant thing to say

  • @cobaltsky89 Pff no shit man. Obnoxious kids just don't appreciate voices like these anymo'

  • @cobaltsky89 lada gaga can sing, really, i do not say that i like her music but... she's got a skill and can operate her voice, she just sings very... very well

  • @cobaltsky89 I'm tired of Gaga but she can sing, she's not bad... but Kesha!!! That's talking, not singing

  • @cobaltsky89 kesha can't even sing...ridiculous that she's so 'famous'

  • @cobaltsky89 thats impossible the mic and the other stuff would explode

  • @cobaltsky89 gaga can actually sing, she would have no truble singing this.

  • @cobaltsky89 i wouldn't D: at least not kesha... lady gaga can sing, but kesha causes ear bleeding D:

  • @cobaltsky89 Gaga could probably do it, but Kesha couldn't.

  • @cobaltsky89 Gaga? No problem, bring it on

  • Maybe I should start keeping track of all you teens?

  • Check out Diane Shaws version of Blue Moon on youtube In my humble opinion the best ever.

    i love ella fitzgerald<3

    this IS music(:

    and yeee ima teenager xD

  • @gloryholee me too! I wish I had friends my age who could say the same!!! (like u!!)

  • @gloryholee you got class kid its good to see few teens like such classic

  • @gloryholee Thumbs up That makes about 11% of the world..

have you heard it by BILLIE HOLIDAY..

  • @chubbychechu2010 -----Billie rocks too.....esp. "the very thought of you"

  • @edduay yeah... great lyrics..

  • @gloryholee Same here. I think Shes wonderful and I'm a 13 year old guy.

  • @jackram2h2 Same here. Except im a girl And im 15 xDD Its amazing, right? ♥

  • @gloryholee what difference does being a teenager make?

  • @gloryholee - you made an account just to say that you love Ella Fitzgerald, and the first name you could come up with was 'glory hole'? XD

  • @eleshar83 LMAO!!!

  • lol @ teenagers wanting a cookie for liking a good song. Shut and enjoy it, you arent wise beyond your years because you clicked on a youtube video. Now if you would have pulled out the vynil and played this on 45 and went over the aesthetics of the song with your mother, THEN id be impressed.

  • @Nitesystem they should get a cookie, stop being mean.

  • one and only, Ella Fitzgerald as a singer and this version of"Blue Moon.

  • i'm a teen also, and i prefer ella fitzgerald than other pop/rap artists..

  • is there a karaoke version of this?!?!

  • I love this! I'm 14 and of course have grown up with modern so called " music" but compared to this, modern "music" magerly sucks! Ella is absolutely amazing! Probably one of the best singers of all time ! I sing this song so much(and am planning to sing it for a singing exam I have coming up) because it's so wonderful! Thanks for posting! (sorry for the extra long comment and large amount of exclemation marks hahaha)

  • I sing this song EVERY DAY. I love her voice <3 <3

  • Meh, I like Sinatra's much more

  • @TheDangoran Then I would like to suggest you put Frank's name in your search for this song instead of Ella's. Did you go to Gaga or anyone else's music you might dislike and dislike it? Or are you just silly enough to pick on talents bigger than you?

  • @dirths

Just so you know I actually pressed "Like" on this one since it's good too. I never said this is bad, just that I prefer the Sinatra version of it.

    Don't tread on me, please.

  • Lindo demais na voz dela....

  • Das Video sieht super aus...tolles lied!

  • When I was in chorus in high school we used to sing this song to warm up! It's got a place in my heart forever :)

  • I'm not a teenager but I'm a teenager at heart. I'm 63 and wouldn't have appreciated this at all when I was a teenager. This was my parents music Yuck!! But things drastically changed and now I love everything Ella sings. This is beautiful. Thanks for the post.

  • yes there are teens here.

  • I love it

  • this song has class, quality, a wonderful velvet voice, tender lyrics...what more could a song ask????

btw it played at the end of an episode of cold cases a tv series.that's when i heard it for the first time and loved it!

  • I love how everyone says--- "I'm only a teenager and I love this (classic) song"---. It just means you like good music, and if they like good music, anyone can love it! I LOVE IT!

  • Oh now this is beautiful...way better than those trashy Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus songs who can't even sing.

  • I'm 19 and i think that the music that was played back in the day is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better then the music of today. It was so pure and peaceful boy was i born in the wrong generation....

  • @Jade049 Well, today's music has to have electronics behind it to get the listener, aka, buyer excited. No, I am not going to say anyone can compare to Ella or Sarah Vaughn, that person has not been discovered. Do not dismiss the music of today, because $ rules over talent. Heck, in Ella's day, she had trouble getting in certain clubs to perform just because she was black. Times change. Be grateful these were recorded, and preserved, but also appreciate what we are given today!

  • I love this song and i'm only 14 ....it makes me want to cry. I want my kids to hear this when they are babies ...when i grow up not now

  • oh man<3 i was def born 30 years too late.

  • =))))) love this cancion

  • <3 God, if only they still made music like this.

  • me :D

  • Any other teens here? I know there are. :)
