@Melmarie15 This is Thomas Hewitt a.k.a. Leatherface.,not Ed Gein...2 completely diffrent stories that ppl seem to get mixed up.
The events are not based on ed geins story who often shot his victims(ed was small),Not chopped them up w/a chainsaw into pieces like the giant leatherface.
Leatherface also had many body parts strown around his yard...Ed had whole bodys with only the skin,organs and head missing.

This Hewitt never existed...it was Ed gein from plainfield Nebraska... He skinned his mother and only killed 4 people... The got the movie of gein but changed things completely... Gein did use knives and a chainsaw...

Knives were not used until after they had died. Films like American Psycho & Silence of the Lambs used the serial killer Ed Gein as a base for their stories. He wore human skin but not because of disease. He had a desire to be like a woman. Either way the story is still sick and twisted.

It is all fake...look up Ed Gein he is the inspiration for "leather face" do to the fact that he had made masks from the skin of his victims...and there was no chainsaw...ed gein shot his victims with a .22 pistol, carried them back to his farm~house and hung them by there feet, cut off there heads and sliced them down the middle...he was apprehended and was placed in a mental institution...hollywood has fooled you...all of what I said if proven...thanks

@Zachisking2010 Ed Gein shot his VICTIM with a .22, he only killed one person, the rest of the canvas for his macabre artwork came from graverobbing. The mask was simply inspired by the stuff he did with the bodies, which included upholstery and the like. And it was a .22 RIFLE, and he gutted them, and gave them a dear treatment, sorry gutted her... Do some research next time.
