  • This -so called-Dr Sack talks bullshit and I rarely lose control.BDD is NOT about being perfect, it's as similar as being disfigured by a fire for e.g. and looking at the mirror and hate what u see.Vanity has NOTHING to do with BDD.It's disgusting how a scientist would come out and say sth like this. The people suffering -including Michael Jackson-, actually suffer because they consider themselves to be freaks.Really ugly, unattractive.Surgery, to them, seems the only solution.

  • having had it for 20 yrs and having several surgeries, its not always about perfection,I never had any ambitions of perfection, just normality, its the same for many patients having corresponded with hundreds over the years.

  • I have body dysmorphic disorder, too. And I've had it since I was 4 or five years old. Now I'm 17 but I still have it. It's awful. It really lowers your self confidence and makes you feel like never going outside and really does become you.

  • @MissieElliot09 you couldnt have had it at 4 yrs old,its impossible. The only important thing now is what you are going to do about it.First get dignosed.

  • im sorry i ment BDD
