@kermsroomy seen him with Ringo years ago...other guitarists in the band were Todd Rundgren, Dave Edmunds, and Joe Walsh...Nils flat out stole the show....amazing performer

Nils may indeed rock, but you sound like you may have been drinking or smokin' the moon cabbage. Nina, with all due respect, you are incorrect. Hope you are succeeding in all other avenues of your life- but assessing music seems to be your cul-de-sac.
sonof- did nina mention a "feeling" - or an "intuition"?- she's pretty direct. "This cover is much better" is indisputible evidence she (?) has come to a conclusion- wrong as f*ck- but a conclusion nonetheless. I'm happy she has found music to bring joy to her life, but Nils (who happens to live in my hometown)has wrung much of of the the, ahem, horniness, out of the Lennon classic. Nils is not the only musician/fan to try and recreate magic. He simply fails magnificently. Que mas, sonof?
There will always be "things" like you who think they got the key of what is true, what is good taste. Even John LENNON himself would NOT react like you to Nina's word. If she says it's Nils version is better for her, well it's true for her. That's all. You are the one who seems to misunderstand what music is.
I'm a human, dammit, not a thing!(say with "Captain Kirk" style drama)
Monkey, monkey, monkey...think I'm going to let you get away with SPECULATING on the "opinion" of the long dead Beatle? That's idiocy and being presumptuous in the highest order. Nils(great performer/guitarist) removes the subtlety and gentleness of the song's seduction and shifts it to a Grand Funk, footstompin' concert jam- just wrong.
PS-Lennon probably would have pimpslapped Nina-THAT Lennon behavior is documented.
not quite, my dear. you see- just because you worship someone, doesn't mean their version is better than the original. Nils is certainly great, but NO ONE can belt it out like John Lennon! NO ONE!
Saw him live, he was no where near as looney as he was then, he must have been taking coke or sumin, its rediculous, his little dance to the drums and what not, great stuff
Like this if you like this better than the original!!!

ok King of Rock. what's YOUR claim to fame? And why is Lennon's version well known and Nils Lofgren's isn't? Hmmm.
