To all the people who make snide comments, Evel was jumping a Harley 750 which in those days was a pretty brutal lump of a motorcycle. He was a huge star as I remember and this stunt took real guts, hence the big crowds and vast sums of money he was paid. He was a showman and a daredevil.

That was one of Evel's best jumps. Don't forget that was a great big 750cc Harley with very little sophistication, to be quite frank a brute, and he did it with aplomb. So don't criticise him, he was the coolest guy in the mid 70's.
