the voice actors are pretty good, i mean they ussualy have shitty voice actors for japenese stuff. i don't like the story but i still love the cut scenes

Uhhh... How could Vaan knew that his brother trusted Basch? Reks didn't get a chance to tell the story to Vaan, he got killed immediately after he met Basch right?

Because he knew that Basch was the commander of Rek's unit. The fact that Reks chose to go to the unit faithfully and fight means that he had to trust the commander and the team. It's common sense to trust someone before you go on a mission with them.

Reks died a month or two after it happened. He had enough time to talk to Vaan about it.

Noah and the Empire sure tell the people that story and it was that the people want to trust. Also some other guards saw the trust of Reks and Basch, like Vossler; that after that was hiding in Rabanastre; the words are quickly passed tongue by tongue, if you get what I mean (Sorry for my english, just trying to say local expresions in english xD)

nope he killed some days after he got hit by noah with the dagger so he didn't die right on that place he first got into hospital and there he told vaan (and not only him) the entire story well at least from his point of view

no, the soldiers carried reks away and took him back to rabanastre as a survivor. when he got home he was always stuck in the hospital in a kinda traumatized state the same way soldiers come back from war in real life. he stuck around for a few months after he came back in his zombie state and died because of a disease. i'm guessing the disease was from his wound since he was stabbed with the same sword used to kill an 80 year old man.

I finally understood the story! I thought Reks was killed immediately and the scene where Vaan visited him on the hospital was just a dream.

Basch didn't kill Reks. It was Basch's brother Gabranth (Noah). When Reks entered the room where king was dead, Basch brother killed Reks and Basch got caught.
