In case yiu haven't noticed, Offense isn't the problem with the team, It's the defense and consistent goaltending from luongo, Canucks are 2nd in the league in scoring, I'd say they have no problem scoring goals

The Russian Rocket would have been the greatest Russian to play the game except for the knee injury problems. Also the fact that Alex the great is now what Bure could have been had he stayed healthy and had the size of Alex, but still he was fearless and the greatest Canuck ever and sometimes I still wear my Bure Canuck jersey for old times sake, a true legend

this is truly the greatest Bure video package here. Bure was truly a speciemen to behold man, when you see him in game its something special. I love the way Ovechkin plays the game, he is truly exciting, but in my opinion, there will never be as exciting a player as Bure, including today with its many exciting and talented players. The canucks game back then with Quinn coaching was very open, and he flourished.

No, he didn't. Tikkanen was acquired mid-season. He just wanted to change to a high number. That was at the same time they got Mogilny, who was 89, and they were supposed to play together. But after 2 injury-plagued season, he changed back to 10.

Tikkanen did wear number 10 during the time Bure wore 96, but Bure's number changes had nothing to do with Tikkanen. Like I said, he changed to 96 months before the Canucks acquired Tikkanen in Jan '06. He changed back to 10 in the summer of '07 (Tikkanen was traded away in March '07). As I understand it, he went back to 10 because he'd had far greater success with that number . . . the 2 years he wore 96 were injury-plagued.

I remember watching that first game. It was unbelievable. I agree with Ronning in this video, id never seen anyone skate that fast. I remember one rush they dont show here where I believe the canucks were attacking one on two. suddenly from the left side of the tv screen its bure and now its a 2 on 2, then a 2 on one then before you can blink, hes got a breakaway. To the guy saying Bure wasn't really that great think about the fact that every season he was healthy he scored at least 50 goals, and this was during a period where clutch and grab hockey was nearing it's peak. Even now when they've "freed" up the skilled players you won't find anyone able to score as many goals as Bure.

If he played now, he would easily dominate the goal scoring race, how would you stop him if you can't grab or hook him?

To me he is the one of the greatest players in NHL. I love the way he skates with puck. No other players do that. And most of all I admire his speed, Pavel must be one of the fastest player NHL has ever seen. Its a shame that he didn't get the respect he deserved.

Too bad that the Russian Rocket had so many injuries in his late year seasons. He would have been one of the greatest goal scorers of all time.
