  • Playing Picc. in this for our concert March. We cut out alot of it like 49-60 sooo thankful. I hate that part because its so hard to get all of the 16ths.

  • were playing this song in my high school band and its awesome! i love the really pretty part :D

  • this is how longs its supposed to be... and with the poem in the slow part

  • omg haha so out of tune

  • Oh jeez, i'm 3rd Trumpet on this song (i'm a freshman playing for a symphonic band, so yeah) and I feel really sorry for 1st trumpet :)

  • how long did they prep?

  • great! but too bad you had ta cut out the rest of the middle T.T

played 1st flute part of this 2 days ago with my highschool concert band :)

  • Played this my freshman year of high school... played the harp part on piano, and loved the slow section in the middle. I'll always remember this peice.

  • We played this when I was in high school. Our Euphonium players had those Euphoniums SINGING!!!!! I played Oboe that year.

  • FAMU did this, it is on youtube, they should have a trombone part.

  • It sucks, I lost the last part to this song. Im really ticked. Can someone send it to me? I play trombone.

  • You cut out the flute/english horn solo! the best part! agh. i play the oboe, and we dont have an english horn, so i have to play the solo. its awesome. great song though. were also doing watchmen tell us of the night this year.

  • I got to play both the Oboe and English Horn parts, and loved them both!

  • @CSEpsilon Lucky, I didn't own an English Horn so I had to just play that solo on my oboe, god I loved the solo in this song though. And the little oboe trumpet part.

  • I love playing this even with the 3rd clarinet part.

  • the 6/8 sections could be taken a bit faster. it is also disappointing that the lyrical section in the middle was shortened, but understandable from youtube's old limits. great piece. you all did a pretty good job of it.

  • Why is there missing parts???

You don't cut out parts of an awesome piece like this.

  • This freakin song was amazing but we didnt play it. It was one of our selections for district honor band. Even though I had 3rd trombone it still was fun.

  • lol i played oboe and english horn for this ahhhhhhhh AMAZING SONG

  • and you cut out half the song!!!!!!!!

  • this would have been much interesting if it was faster in the beginning.

  • wow i would have never guessed! :)

and yeah i play clar. too and we're playing this in band...how weird...

  • oops. i forgot my name on here is clarinetfreak17... oops :P ya we're performing it for a concert on the 25th and then festival in early march

  • You could be a clarinet freak but play flute lol u never know.

  • We're playing this in our band this year ^_^ I play the clarinet woot woot!

  • really i would have never guessed :)

    and me too!!

  • I love this. I played this in band years ago.

  • And the bari sax was the best

  • And the french horn was the best :)

  • come on horns play the piece out! this piece is amazing horn music and I was a little dissapointed. not bad over all but could always be a little better.

  • bari sax is the best though

  • nah alto kick ass

  • horns for life!

  • I agree with you Quadplaya06

  • I agree

  • It's like they skip half the measures in there...wtf?

  • The entire piece was performed at the concert, but this video has been edited to stay under 10 minutes. The cut is at 4:17.

  • Bari sax is best

  • Bari sax is best

  • .. Forgot a comma after Flute..

  • Why were all the solos cut out? The Flute Clarinet, Oboe and English horn solos were all missing in the slow middle section. I think this group is very capable of playing those solos. The Trumpet solo was pretty OK, though the grace notes were played as if they were sixteenths. Some of the brass runs were also a bit messy, but overall, you have done a good job in playing this piece. I play Oboe and English horn, and our Wind Ensemble is currently working on this song.

  • lol, you beat their oboe player. hands down.

  • Bari sax is best and will rule the world

  • The horns weren't together

  • Thats because the Bari sax is the best
