@dinkaDPB No, this is way better, I have one and compared to what ive seen of iNano 5G camera tests the zi8 is 9999x better

Thanks, yours so far is the only review that has deployed the HDMI jack. So, it does actually output for HDtv. Just a point of curiosity, can it record from the HDMI cable?

make sure you have a 6 Class Card...2 & 4 Class cards can't record full HD quality...a Good one will run around $40

the SD card is the best feature! the built in memory gets full and then u have to stop recording or delete something while with the SD card u can just buy more cards and switch them.

@sensemille Great Point... You can buy SD cards online for pretty cheap and bring them along with you just in case. It can definitely give someone some piece of mind when your doing a lot of recording

How Is this camera for concerts????? How is the sound and picture for like lets say Metal Concerts

@dudeilove Metal concerts would be very loud, making it difficult to record any sound without clipping. Utilizing the Mic input with a dynamic mic might help, but it would be hard to capture sound without getting distortion from clipping. As for the picture quality, it would depend on factors such as lighting and location.

You missed out on the Mic input...which is what makes this a camera you can get pro results with as far as sound is concerned...I have uploaded some stuff here using a field recorder in the mic input...and Ill guarantee nobody else with a pocket camcorder there got results even close to mine.

The external mic is a big bonus say, if you want to do music demos like playing guitar for example. You're not stuck with the built in mic, you can feed through your sound board straight in, and comes through youtube in all it's stereo glory!

Shouldn't stress "you need to buy extra memory" so much. You can find very cheap memory cards these days. I'd much rather have the choice to have potentially unlimited memory by exchanging cards, than a set amount.

I think so, if you search "kodak zi8" on youtube, I believe there is a skate video which was recorded with it.

I guess any camera is fine for a no budget film... but if you and your buds plan to eventually get sponsored or make some cash with the videos (perhaps a DVD)

Then I'd save up for a Sony $1000 camera where you can hold it with the top handle.

Better quality, not as shaky, and sound is better. Also lenses are changeable.
