We walked out with patron passes and reserved seating. Not what we came for.
We aren't upset about it, I have heard the closing act is traditionally for the locals. I might mention the policy of opening reserved seating really ruined the view through many shows as people jockeyed for seats and moved up as better ones were available. Imagine spending three times the entrance fee and you can't see because people are walking around filling seats. We aren't coming back.
I've searched a long time for a candid, personal video recording that had picture quality and vibration reduction of Linda Ronstadt and you have it! Yours (emmylunatic) as THE ONE! I look forward to any other videos you may record of her in the future, emmy! Husband and I have enjoyed her voice for years. What kind of video camera are you using, if you don't mind me asking(kindly)? Plan to buy one soon for my son's grad. day. Thanks for posting your video! You and Youtube are a true blessing!
@indee691 It's a Canon G9, not an actual video camera. They are out of production and the new ones remaining are listed for $700 dollars over what I paid in Feb. 2008. You're too kind; all I did was point and shoot. Doesn't compare to hearing her live.
I had the opportunity to see her as a patron. I left. The audience was minimal.Rumor had it Steve Martin was backstage and bowed out when he saw how pathetic the response was. She was the wrong act to have in that venue and that time slot.
Well she sounds rocking to me. She might be a lot of things but she will always be someone I will listen and learn from. Linda is the real deal. The extra junk in her trunk? Just more to love!
This was the Merlefest finale and I was disappointed that so few remained for this rare event. Can't give you a count but I realize that many had far to travel for Monday and needed to shake off too much sun. Wife and I were almost the last ones off the field; just couldn't let it end. Will edit some more of this show soon.

Does anybody know what the size of the audience was? Huge LR fan and just curious since this was a little different for Merlefest. Thx

Linda Ronstadt is a remarkable talent. I don't think we will ever see an artist who can do so much, so well.

I was there at the MerleFest finale and there were few people here. I think it was a disappointment to many for its not typical MerleFest material.
