I think before the final version of the game was made they should have taken this idea under consideration, this trailer for RE 5 looks much much better and more like survival horror and looks more like RE 4. No partner, but it looked damn cool!

In this day and age, video games attempt more and more to ground themselves in reality, to make the experience seem more visceral to the person playing the game.
Considering RE5 is a zombie-themed game set (in part, at least) in an African shanty town, a place generally populated by low-income black families, it makes sense for Capcom to make most of those zombies black. The fact that the main hero of the game is white is a product of RE's ongoing plotline (Chris was the star of RE1).

RESIDENT EVIL HISTORY
Rule One about Zombies: They are not human anyone, they are zombies. No such thing as a white, black, or anything in between. Zombies are Zombies, in this case.. they are Las Plagas, same dif.
Rule 2: Every Resident Evil game that has been made, prior to RE4 was about killing white zombies. RE4 is about killing spanard zombies. RE5 is about killing spanard, white, and black zombies.

Resident Evil 5 is not racist it just takes place in Africa where black people live. Resident Evil 4 took place in Europe where Spanish people live. The first RE games took place in the U. S. where mostly white people live.

In this day and age, video games attempt more and more to ground themselves in reality, to make the experience seem more visceral to the person playing the game.
Considering RE5 is a zombie-themed game set (in part, at least) in an African shanty town, a place generally populated by low-income black families, it makes sense for Capcom to make most of those zombies black. The fact that the main hero of the game is white is a product of RE's ongoing plotline (Chris was the star of RE1).
