@nottarokun it was an unfortunate position for Data: you can easily drag at a standing person´s feet from behind so he falls down, even if the person is stronger than yourself.
regardless of this, the Borg are physically very strong (due to their implants): much stronger than humans, stronger even than Klingons (Worf can overpower them due to his speed & combat skills, but he´d probably lose in an armwlestling match), and strong enough to harm Data.
@harpiyon Jem'Hadar would rape Borg in melee, though. Except, of course, if the Borg's fighting technique against Jem'Hadar would be simple to get close enough to inject nanites and just assimilate every one of them. Then they'd win easily.
@Foxstab Jem´Hadar have similar fighting abilities than Klingons: they are similarly strong, fast & have sophisticated fighting techniques.
The Borg, however, are probably stronger than Klingons or Jem´Hadar. And even if physical strength is not the only decisive factor in hand-to-hand combat, it should not be underestimated. The Borg are dangerous opponents even for Jem´Hadar: one wrong move, and they´ll get you.
@harpiyon The Jem'Hadar are significantly superior and stronger than Klingons as Worf's miserable beating has proven.
They were biologically engineered to be nothing short of self-sustained warrior drones. Their only dependence is the one which was also artificially created - their drug addiction.
The Borg are artificially enhanced over Human/Klingon strength due to their cybernetic implants. And as Data shown, he's much stronger than they are.
@Foxstab i can´t agree to this. in DS9, Worf is held captive by a group of Jem´Hadar and they force him to fight them one by one for training. he defeats (i.e. kills) 7 of them in 7 consecutive duels, in spite he gets wounded by each of them. hence i believe (male) Klingons are equally matched to Jem´Hadar in terms of strength, speed, stamina, durability & combat technique.
the Borg are stronger than most biological humanoids, and strong enough to harm even Data.
@harpiyon Killed 7 of 7? No. Perhaps the first couple by outmaneuvering and breaking their necks, but the others watched and learned his fighting style and so it became ineffective. He kept on fighting despite being unable to even scratch them because their body was so resilient. They were inspired by his inability to give up despite his inferior standing and massive injuries, subsequently they yielded from the duelings and declared him victor due to his unbreakable will and resolve.
@Foxstab Watch the episode. Worf wins 7 duels, in spite the Jem´Hadar he´s fighting are getting older & more experienced. And in spite he´s getting heavy blows in each fight. At one point, Garak (who´s also held captive) exclaims: "7 fights, 7 victories!"
It was in the 8th fight that Ikat'ika, the First (i.e. highest-ranking) Jem´Hadar, fought Worf. Worf had several broken ribs from previous fights, and still didn´t yield.
When it comes to hand-to-hand combat, I´d vote for the Klingon.
@OmarAlQaseer It would be cool to see them use every kind of weapon against Borg drones - edged weapons, firearms, explosives, etc. - just to see the drones adapt. Growing armor and masks to deflect bullets, or shoulder-mounted anti-rocket lasers, that sort of thing.
@nottarokun for sure lol ..I was thinking if you just put holo emitters all over the ship ..you can have hologram warriors defend the ship constantly ..which is just a silly idea I was thinking of.
i always wondered, why don´t they replicate machine guns, just like the one that the captain used on the holodack? better an old weapon that works all time, than a modern weapon that loses its effect after a short while.
shouldn´t be too difficult to replicate enough bullets, either.
Seriously, getitng in front of the alcoves or o the side and drop explosives. Only way to be sure.

You know...I feel like pikes or spears would be somewhat useful against the Borg. They're expecting projectile weapons.
