В 80е жили за 500 км от областного центра, не припомню чтобы кто то пух с голоду побирался или жрал из помойки. Люди просто жили ,да хрен с ним было невозможно стать депутатом и ездить на мерсе с мигалкой, не было свободы и демократии не было изобилия порнухи бухла и наркоты, в телевизоре не кривлялись VIP бляди и п.....сы , не было элитного жилья для элиты., Это конечно минусы. @v11704 А при Боре мы производили в 3 раза меньше продуктов чем в 90-ом, так уж вышло что это был единственный период в моей жизни когда я на самом деле голодал. Бывало по 3 дня не ел - это я отлично помню. Совпадение наверно.

Soviet cinema is the best. I was born in the west and brought up with western propaganda. The russians I know from the soviet generally say cool things about it, its certianly has depth, and something amazing I think, so much more than what I was given.
@pauldeg2002 Strongly disagree. Just looking at the excepts of this film, one sees a lack of production values and imagination. It's got a mild charm, but there's little in the way of adorning the film to make it come to life. It rests on the performance of the actors.

If you were unemployed you had to report to the kgb, and if you were unemployed for more than a month you were put in jail! Under communism people had been used for slaves for the state. But everyone could get an apartment, medical care, education for free.

Фильм-шедевр.
Развели бодягу СССР-коммуняки-голодомор.
В 80е жили за 500 км от областного центра, не припомню чтобы кто то пух с голоду побирался или жрал из помойки. Люди просто жили ,да хрен с ним было невозможно стать депутатом и ездить на мерсе с мигалкой, не было свободы и демократии не было изобилия порнухи бухла и наркоты, в телевизоре не кривлялись VIP бляди и п.....сы , не было элитного жилья для элиты., Это конечно минусы. Но были и плюсы в той жизни. Были хорошие фильмы например

@LilaTheDunmer So rent something outside the most expensive area then? It's not that hard. But just so you know, I don't trust your creative numbers one bit. If you want communism then why don't you go to North-Korea? I'm pretty sure your need for communism would be cured in a few days...

@tannalv You are so naive. In small towns rent is cheaper, but salary is also cheaper. My uncle works as a postman in a small town, his salary is $50 a month. The truth is that I know the realities because I live here, and you live in the world of your unreasonable fantasies. In Soviet Union EVERYONE who could work was working, there were no paying social support money for unemployed, and unemployment was a crime. But everyone could get an apartment, medical care, education for free.

@LilaTheDunmer The thought never hit you that it's possible to live somewhere cheaper and work somewhere where you make some money? Russia is a democracy. If people wanted communism they would vote for it. They don't. Sounds more like you don't have enough competition in Russia. Which, in that case, is fascism.

Russia is an illusion of democracy - whoever people vote for, the president is decided by a narrow circle of people, whose names you have seen in the list of the richest. Besides, Soviet Union was officially socialism, not communism. The communism was just a goal people tried to reach - and USSR vanished before they did. Anyway, problems of russians don't concern you. I recommend not to judge of what you don't know.

@MeltedDetech It's a fact. Noone had any choice, any money or any food under communism. That's why the people in Soviet stood up to Gorbachev and said "Mr. Gorbachev, we don't want your communism any more, give us democracy!".

There are a LOT food in ussr, it was a very cheap and ussr never think about "money" when buy it.
There was not enough luxiry and fasion goods, yes. But shortage of food - its a lie.
Shortage of food was in Russia, after USSR fall. I remember it. When "democratic" Gorbachev and Yeltcin crush russian economy.

@MeltedDetech There are many documentaries on this, people were starving in the USSR. When McDonalds opened a store in Moscow people were standing in a mile-long line just to get some food! No, people staved under communism. It's just all the propaganda (like this movie) that made you believe they weren't. But they were. That's why people wanted democracy. Under democracy news was honest and without propaganda. That's why you think that is when people started staving.

LOL! I remeber this time, I was a kid & was standing their. I assure you, that for those people it was just smth of an amusement, smth exotic, just like matreshka& balalaika for Americans for ex. Quite soon having discovered, that it's rather cheap &untasty,unhealthy,etc & btw boreing place to entertain I &lots of my friends decided never ever set our feet their)

I know communists had a newspaper called "Pravda", which means "Truth", but was really filled with just lies to brainwash the people. There was no democracy under communism. People really suffered.

Communism spread lies, there were no various media to compare with and get the truth from, there were only lies brainwashing the people.
No, I haven't seen this movie. Democratic movies make it (are seen) everywhere. Communist movies make it nowhere.

du skal ikje fortel meg at det ikje finnes propaganda her. Amerikaræv sliking på det verste! du finner ikje her- veeeldig sjeldent - gode kvalitetsfilmer fra Europa som f.e. Viskonti, Mikelangelo osv. Forresten filmer fra USSR vant mangemangemangemangemange priser i forskjellige filmfestivaler.

Tviler at eg noen gang hørt om noen norsk film som vant noen internasjonale filmfestivaler- ikje i allefall i "sovjet" tiden- tom1991. forleden dag såg eg i lag mæ dattra mi en russisk tegnefilm i barnetv:p Talenter velger ikje kor de skal fødes- i demokratisk land eller i "kommuistisk"( forresten det eksisterte ALDRI kommunisme- ALDRI!!!!! )

You're talking about the freedom to employ who ever you wish to employ. This is a democratic thing, it would never happen under communism. There you are just told where to work and what to do, you have no freedom.
Yes, they do. The US have always beaten the communist countries in every olympics though. ;)
