Hey man, random question. I can't figure out how to use maschine as a vst in a daw. Where do I find the actual VST file to add in my daw? Like, what folder is it under?
@BLACKxxSMOKE depends on the daw you are using. usually once you have downloaded the vst/au software you have to do a plugin or vst scan through your daw for it to recognize it. in ableton go to preferences and under the file section there's a scan vst button. click that than check the vst folder through the daw's browser. for logic i believe it scans on start up. it's been a while since i've used logic. as far as cubase and fruity loops go i'm not too sure since i don't use those daws
@shisomiso yeah all the sounds were coming out of maschine with the exception of that sample hi hat. the cool thing about maschine is that in reality you could have 8 groups of 16 one shots that you could play out like full instruments on your keyboard. now as for a keyboard....i owned an 1st gen oxygen 8 for years. if you don't mind layering your performances a 25 works fine. but if your looking to play out melodies using both hands go for the 49.
Hi I'm late to the show :) Wondering why you used Maschine if the sounds are triggered on the keyboard ? Also I'm looking to get a M-Audio controller. Should I get the 25? Can most tracks be done using 25? Go for 49? I'll be doing some string arrangements too so me thinks it might be better.
bro your videos are cool and helped me a lot in learning my maschine, i hope you can remake other songs too, as its a really good way to learn the maschine and all its functions.
Keep it comen yo. Use beginners need all the help we can get. !!! I jus bought my maschine. And its kicken my ass but ill get t!! Keep up the good work. Love it son!!
damn my allergies had me sounding all nasally and shit. this vid was at 20 views the last time i checked. if you would like more tutorials i will be posting some up again once my machine is returned to me from native instruments.
@MSNGR415 When ive found my sounds & assigned them to the pads, how do I save to re-use later? So i dont have to re-find the sounds i like again?....Thanks
I only built the body of the track with all the elements able to be triggered on the fly making the track flexible for live sittuations. What I would do at this point is load all seperate parts into logic or ableton and sequence it out.

95 bpm I used ableton when I sampled that hi hat section, moved two tabs and it was n sync
MSNGR415 2 years ago
out of curiousness, do you happen to remember the bpm on this particular beat?

gotcha, keep it up with the maschine, I have one myself. Good to always see 'new' vids using it.
