Quantum physics. I will be having my lasts credits on it this fall, due to some academic nonsense: conflict between university curriculum so it seems. I used to study the subject using Robert Eisberg's and Robert Resnicks's, Quantum Physics of atoms molecules... etc. I really like it but if you have another suggestion that would help me with my studies, I would appreciate it.
Are you more of a chemist or a physicist by the way? Were did you have your degree?
@assalane I'm more of a chemist, really. The only quantum physics education I've had was through high school, so it's fairly limited. The rest I just picked up from books for laymen. I also love to read about the history of science, which is more of what this video is about. Sorry I can't be of more help, and good luck with your studies!
Great work LivingDinosaur, I can only say that I'm glad to be alive in a time when science can answer the questions sentience so desperately wanted to know and resorted to imagination to find them.
Thought your comment that ancient Greek atomism was a lucky guess was reductive. Atomist thought really arose from metaphysical paradoxes of being/non-being, identity/change, motion/space. Rudimentary empiricist epistemology and a lot of good math and logic was achieved. Without the inheritance of the Greeks, the Enlightenment would have been a much harder slog. Contra-wise the cultural persistence of Christian Neo-Platonic dualism is a pox on the body of ideas.
Again, another great vid that enlightens and entertains. Hopefully you will stir the curiosity of some viewers to read and think. You are showing that reality is so much more interesting, complex and humbling than the greatest myth. Music suggestion: .Brahm's Symphony #4 - last movement - the triumphant variations that seem to soar to the heavens.
Bravo! Bravisimo! I watch your vids every now and then. I will continue watching them until I am through with all of them . . . In the interim, I will continue recommending your channel to my YT friends. Thank you very much. It's good see see another YT user exercising his "intellectual flexibility."
It is a great work. Keep it up.
