Belle's voice is too quiet and soft. I'll keep watching. Maybe she'll improve as the numbers go on. She's got a beautiful voice, though. There was just no energy.

The set, costumes, and choreography are AMAZING...but I wish I could understand what they were singing. I mean, I know the words because I was just in BATB as Mrs. Potts not too long ago, but I'm taking it from the audience's perspective. I'm sure there were people in the audience who knew the words to Belle, and yet, there were some who did not. Either way, this was a very good performance, for a high school.

Misha, i think it is the one in Utah, because i go to Highland High and we had like the EXACT same costumes as these people. I dont know how much it was, but if Highland can afford it, im sure others can :) haha

@Ixelixes Other schools have rented the set and costumes from Hillcrest since 2007. It was co-funded by Sandy city which is why the school could afford it.

The song sounded good, however I must say that Gaston is really... small? Seriously, Lefou is almost as big as he is. Don't mean to offend. Actually, my high school is doing Beauty and the Beast this year. I'm the part of Lefou, and the guy who plays Gaston is about... a foot taller than I am? XD  He's pretty much perfect for the part. Anyway, it was rather good overall.

I was really impressed with Be Our Guest. I was expecting more from this one. Lefou is almost there, and Gaston was just really... scrawny and awkward. Not a rich enough voice for the big brawny villain.

I didn't like Lefou's entrance.. he came out shouting "i got it gaston i got it i got it" then 5 seconds later the goose (or whatever it is) falls from the ceiling? but the rest was good! The gaston is better than ours anyways!

To reply to all of the comments...thank you to some, and thank you to the suggestions from others. I played Mrs. Potts in this production. Oh, btw, this Hillcrest is in Utah. The small solos are hard to hear because we were short on mics, we only had twelve. THe girl who plays Belle is my best friend, I though she did an amazing job. horrible just no one knows how to play their part, most cant sing, and none know how to project they are all depending on the microphone. I live in California and go to tri-school theatre and we're doing this play right now and we are actually making the writers of the play some honor and we have one the best theatre programs in the nation. So yeah thats right.

I thought it was good. Belle's voice is very nice, but her acting doesn't particularly fit the character. I feel like she's much more dramatic. But everything onstage looks nice. I live in Illinois and I know there's a Hillcrest High School around here somewhere, but I'm not sure if this one is from Illinois, but from what I hear, Glenbard North actually has one of the best programs in at least the state. Actually, they're putting on Beauty and the Beast this year as well, I believe.

This is good however the little solos you can barley hear them at all and whenever Gaston and Belle sing at the end I could not even hear them. The set was very nice and so was your Belle her voice was great. I wish I could have come seen it.

It's Hillcrest High School! Their sets are ALWAYS incredible. They have the most prestigious Performing Arts Dept in the U.S.A (i think). So great for a High School!
