@spacelizardlaw Tuneability, mechanical fuel injection is a prick to find parts for and has no inherent advantages over individual runner carbies.

sehe gerade dieses wundervolle filmchen über den monte motor, klingt besser noch wie AC DC kann mir jemand sagen wo dieser wagen steht, habe bei mir in der halle einen 68 bertone mit einem aufgebohrten monte motor stehen.

the type thirty three motors made over 400 hp.. I am sure thaat was one race fuel.. I have seen the manufacturer blue prints for that motor.. my father has them somewhere.

use 1% two stroke oil in your fuel to prevent fuel system corrosion with todays ultra dry eco fuel (E10)

This is probably the best sounding 90 degree V8 I have ever heard. What spec are the cams and what were the numbers at the rear wheels??

I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree!
