@187MegAmAn187 They seem to change a bit every album. Smash seemed like punk with some grunge elements mixed in (which this song is a great example of). That's part of the reason why The Offspring became popular in 1994/5, because they released songs like this and Self Esteem. They're not essentially punk songs, but they're a punk rock band.

i saw them last summer in NY and musically, they were solid. yeah dexter's voice is a bit rough cuz of his age and all but they still put on a great show.
