What are your framerates? and it's your cpu overclocked? I have a Phenom II 955 @ stock (3.2ghz) and I just ordered this game (yes, I know I'm late but I don't care) and a GTS 250 512MB (which I bought for now but will upgrade when I have more money)...

@MoonOvIce I'm no expert, like this guy, but in case he doesn't answer, I think it will definately work, as my processor has 2.1 GHz and never lagged at 1300x resdolution.

@ccotunai Thanks, I was able to finish the game at 1920x1080 with everything on ultra and directx 10 and even 4x anti-liasing...it looked absolutely beautiful and it ran at 60fps with V-sync and about 90fps without it!

You don't download pixel shaders. Those are built into he graphics card. If it's unsupported that means your cards too old. Get something newer.

8800GT is impressive. Still keeps up pretty well with newer titles, better than the 9xxx series. Just keep in mind that FRAPS (or whatever recorder was used) has it's own impact on framerate.

@mesaoneCCK You do realise that the 9800GT is just the 8800GT with improved structures right...? So the 8800GT can't cope any better than the 9800GT. Unless you're comparing it to the 8800GTX, but that is a different card.

@crossme yeah ofcourse, cause this game introduces a new character 'Nero' and the story is completely different. Not at all related to DMC 4, just know that vergil and dante are sons of sparda. dante is the good guy while vergil is the power hungry anti-hero. Nero is a blood relative of sparda but it is still confusing wether he is saprda's or vergil's son. DMC 3 is a completely different story based around the hatred+love between dante and vergil (kinda confusing lols). You should def. play it
