I haven't played this game in years, and this reminds me why; it scares the crap out of me. :P The first time I played it and that guy appears behind you as you're leaving the room freaked me out so badly that I couldn't play again after that for like a week, then it turns around and does it to you again at 2:09. When my friend played this game, the cutscene at 7:10 never showed up, it just showed a black screen with sound, the camera symbols showed up in a circle when he went to capture a ghost, and the main character's clothes are different. Is this a different version? Like a director's cut or something?

This is just the PS2 version of the game, there was no alternate edition that I know of besides the XBOX version. Perhaps the game disc your friend had was scratched over the portion with this cut scene?

As for the clothes and camera, I completed the game once already before starting this new file, so I unlocked a few things like the alternate outfit.

It's a bit annoying that every step you take creaks the same kind of creak sound. They should have at least had a 5 different creaks for the steps. Sorry for being pedantic. I do games for a living.

Actually, it does get kind of monotonous. And not every step HAS to creak. Sure, it's an old mansion, but it seems to me it'd be creepier to have regular footsteps most of the time, with loud creaking ones randomly every 10 minutes or so, to give the player a nice 'wtf was that' shock.

I wish game designers would please refrain from adding in those irritating repetitive footsteps sounds. I can see when my character is walking or running, etc. I don't need to hear every step. It's like having to listen to somebody smack and chomp when they eat.
