  • Yup it was pretty low. And although the bike was relative new, i bought it stock from a 2008 stack in 2010. The front forks were unresponsive i had to take em out at 10K Kms. Also the bike was generally stock in all forms, and the suspensions wasnt set up either.

Atm im still stock rear shock - the track im running is tight and technical and havent found the need for an upgrade.

The front has Ohlins springs and oils and it does the job.

  • @chopgr Atm i have to go back and set sag and compression damping again. The zip tie almost ends up once again - not good ! Yup im also a hard breaker and avid enthusiast of the motorcycle. I use it alot in all aspects of riding, like commuting, touring, 2ups and track so i end working my suspension setup like a horse :D

  • Very nice vid mate.

But your zip-tie seems to be pretty damn low dude....

  • @r1gester Ive watched your videos from the R1forum and you got great editing and such , your videos are really pro.

What do you mean by 'low zip-tie"?

  • He means the cable tie on your front right hand fork leg.

However, this could be low for 3 reasons, 1, trailer tiedowns have pulled all the travel out of the forks, 2, your a really hard braker :) or 3, your front suspension is way to soft. Looks fine to me, all my trackbikes, roadbikes, all sink that low.

  • @r1gester Oh thanks man, The zip-tie around your fork tube, just below your suspension. It's what you use to measure your suspension setting, seems like that beautiful 08R1 is runnning a little soft on the front, especially for track time...

  • awesome
