George Wright was the first theater organist I was introduced to on LP and was totally captivated by his skill and amazing delivery. I've search high and low for any movies or videos of him playing. Does anyone have knowledge of any?
I was at the Gaumont State Concert in 1978 - a memorable appearance and I think the only concert in Europe, it's hard to believe it was that long ago!
Warmlandlass, be assured there are many of us who regard George Wright with the greatest respect. In 1978 he came to England to perform a concert on the Wurlitzer in the State Cinema, Kilburn. A truly unforgettable experience.
I worked for Conn and had the privilege of knowing George...quite a remarkable person and creative musician....his mechanical ability comes from his classical training. His mother was a classical piano teacher. Definitely a legend in his own time.........
oh, but I wish, hope and pray there are other George Wright Pipe Organ enthusiasts out there that can relate to this incredible man and his amazing, God-given talent~!!

Also known as the Tritsch Tratsch Polka by Johan Strauss. Nicely played.

For an interesting look at a young George Wright on film, look up Charles Magnante and his trio, here on youtube. (1940's)
