  • Such a great song AND a great video - Thanks!

  • Great song and wonderful video production. TCS at their best !

  • Trashy since about !987 - Was at Barrowlands when supporting Prefab Sprout - enough said

  • @TheFatweegee I was there too, think it was 1990 though. Obscurity Knocks knocked me for six when I heard it, still love it today.

  • This video is so beautiful whenever I'm upset I listen to this song :) Thank you for bringing such amazing music into the world!

  • god damnit i fucking love this band so much

  • Let's admit, though, that they, for whatever reason, attract fans who are often secretly happy that most people don't make more of this band. That said, I can't think of another band that lends itself better to movies. In fact, if I were making one today, the first thing I'd do is nail down the rights to one or more of their songs.

Very nice edit John Douglas. Thanks again for such wonderful music in Eugene this October.

  • just watched video for "people" AMAZING well done john on directing.People...people who fall in love. glad to see you all finally got the message.

  • GOOD SONG

  • I love it that the opening 30 seconds, which, btw, are MOST significant to even be considered for RADIO is spent introducing the song. .... eat it radio....you missed another one from TCS

  • u guys r the BEST!

  • In the Music blasting on the car stereo with my 10 and 6 year old singing along. Their favourite is I Hang My Heart High Upon the Willows and this has led to some interesting converstations of who the song is about. My daughter has this on her iPod and she has proudly told her friends that this is her Dads favourite band and they are from Scotland. (We now live in Australia!)

First saw TCS in King Tuts Wah Wah Hut some 20 years ago. Oh the memories and the songs bloody brilliant!

  • love this song - bought the cd - haven't bought a cd in years. This is excellent!

  • What a great video. John, a man of many artistic talents - painting, film, photography, song writing and playing wee bit of guitar. Great theme to match the song.

  • my cousin is the one wearing bear ears 1:31

  • My three year old son asked me,

" Daddy what is the name of this song?"

    I told him, "People"

He said keenly " People who Fall Down".

I said, "Yes, that have freinds that will pick them up."

He smiled and said, " I like it."

I have been a TCS fan since witnessing them live at 1990 KROQ Accoustic Christmas at Universal Ampitheatre, as of today my son is one too.

  • @tomasigh Beautiful .. "People who fall down and have friends that pick them up"... I like it too.. Thanks for listening for all these years.. KROQ seems like a lifetime ago.. probably because it is.. Thanks for introducing us to the next generation.. hopefully see you on tour this year.. you brought a smile to my face on a cold rainy Glasgow morning.. Thank You !!

  • What a great video!

  • Had to come back to get my PEOPLE video fix. Hope to catch you boys at SLIMS!

  • Well, Bowery Ballroom it is! Time taken off, flights are booked!!!! ... See you in New York!

  • I still get butterflies when I hear the first notes of something new. I'm as in love with the music now, as I was 30 years ago.

Hhmm.....can I get time off work to get myself to NYC for June 11th? :o)

  • Indeed one of the best bands to ever come out of Scotland.

  • Hello Paul I dont know how to work this yet but hope everything ok. The No Men are currently going mental with thhe added extra of Jamie on drums. Its Monk Time Its Jigs Time!!!!!

  • Great track from great new album - I actually taught Paul in primary school !! Taught him his first 6 chords !!

Best band in Scotland by a mile.

  • Mister Carrick? Is that you? How's it gaun? Guid I hope!

    Keep on rockin'!!

    Paul

(Say hiya tae wee George - tell'um tae get a computer!)

  • Indeed Paul it is me ( so weird to hear you call me Mr Carrick again ! )

New album is great - I love it

Hope all is well with you and your life

    Mr C

  • Hello its george got a computer was talking with Uncle Peter this morning and said you were asking. Been practicing with the no men. On drums why one Jamie. Its Jig time!!!!!!

  • Wow- I'm so behind the times - just catching this band for first time - GREAT!

  • Brillante, genial..............cuanto necesitamos "Free hugs"..............."Abrazos gratis" tambien se hace en España, en las ramblas de Barcelona.......

  • Has it really been 20 years? Saw them in LA @The Troubadour way back when.

Can't imagine music without TCS. Brilliant! Thanks for all the good memories.

  • Great song and SUPERB album! This is a wonderful video that really captures the song. .....So rare does a video do justice to the song....I hope you find those two Glasgow angels! This video makes me smile! thanks!

  • They found the girls; they were in attendance at one of their recent Glasgow gigs I believe.

  • Delightful video.

  • lilac time?

  • you mean Stephen Duffy and the Lilac Time?

  • U2 , Trashcan sinatras best bands ever.

  • The most overlooked and underrated musical geniuses ever...

Love the new album....didn't even preview.. just purchased.. one could never go wrong with TCS...

  • New album is fantastic but you would expect nothing less. I agree with all the TCS fans how this band could be so overlooked. Send the album to Jools Holland's producers at the BBC as the TCS would grace that stage more than some of the other acts currently being promoted!!!!!!!! How about it John???

  • Rest assured that The Jools Holland show and all other TV/Radio music outlets are being approached vociferously by the countries finest plugger and PR company on behalf of the Trashcans and 'In The Music'

  • Definitely want to see TCS on Later! Great clip for 'People'.

  • I hope so! I saw these guys in San Francisco at Cafe DuNord and they were amazing!

  • Amazing video guys. These images filled with human love perfectly suit this beautiful song.

  • Love it!!!!! Feel good music to warm the soul.

  • Love this song. I've Seen Everything, was the first CD I bought with my own money when I was a kid. Been hooked ever since. Totally agreed..criminally underrated band. Any chance of putting Circling the Circumference up?

  • a video was never made for that song!

  • I feel like 'm one of them.

  • Two of my all time favorite things...Trashcan Sinatras and Free Hugs Campaign.. it's better than a Reese's!

  • "I feel like I'm one of theeeeeeemmmm".

    Peaceful, melodic, charming and sublime.

  • Nice. The Trash Can Sinatras are criminally overlooked.

  • Lovely, heartwarming video!

  • was the removal a choice John or a legal thing?

love this vid though, great idea and realy marries well with the beautiful song!

Im positive thats Eddi though even though you said "no"!! ;OP

  • the previous video was a rough edit so i removed it when i had an edit i was happy with... and it's still not Eddi.. glad you like the video !!

  • thanks john! it's wonderful and the idea behind the video is brilliant!!!!!!!!

  • It's still beautiful.

  • Hi Folks, I had to reload the video with this slightly better edit. I hope you enjoy it. The first edit is now offline.

    John

  • my heart will always be with you all,Please never stop.......It makes my life better...BRILLIANT!!!!
