THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH, SIR, I learned this fast thanks to your awesome teaching, you teach soo good that I might want to be a Jam play memer one day! I am going to play this song at our local curch for christmas.
I wish Christmas is celebrated everyday.. ^^ Did you notice that people are more excited to celebrate Christmas than to celebrate their birthdays.. ^^ Thats my opinion.. ^^ And I also feel the same way.. ^^
thanks!!! it really helped because on this Christmas I needed to learn a Christmas song on guitar and I have been practicing this song and finnaly I got it Thanks!!!!XD
Question here, when you change chords, do you switch which low note you are hitting with your thumb? or is it always the low E? I'm a drummer trying to learn this song by Christmas...so I have no experiance at all, just bought the guitar today actually.
Play whatever the root note of the chord is. You don't want to play the Low e string if that is not in the chord. For instance, for the C major you don't want to play the low E string (unless you are fretting it). Generally this is also the naming note of the chord.
Woot!! I'm a member too. This instructor is awesome about explaining music theory as it pertains to guitar. LOL he looks just like my Bro in Law too. :D
I was inspired to learn this from watching you video. thx 8) check out my version...merryxmas

Its because only your friends and family celebrate your birthday, but the whole world celebrates christmas, that´s what´s exiting about it....

If I am right then for G chord its low E string, for D7 chord its D string and for C chord its A string.
