@It is bemusing to see a western perspective on us.This band was at it's peak almost two decades ago.Growing up in Karachi in the 90's,a concert was the event to be at on a weekend!Such has been our regression!
@johnsmithengland .You are right, but as someone has already told that Vital Signs were the pioneers of Pop Rock music in Pakistan , I would just like to add that this band was formed back in 1986 and later on they ended up in 1998. But during that period , I remember, there was "VITAL SIGNS" on every tongue. I'm 21 now and Its my childhood band. I have been listening to their music since 1993. Anyways, when they disbanded, all the four of them decided to work on their respective solo projects.
Don't know what they are singing but this doesn't matter - the point is that this is revolutionary in the sense that if these guys are introducing Rock n Roll to Pakistan then this in itself is a way of winning 'hearts and minds' - and bringing the fresh wind of much needed change to this part of the world - as Rock n Roll is definitely one of the most powerful cultural conduits in the history of humankind. Rock on Vital Signs!
@johnsmithengland ... Junaid Jamshed (vocalist) sang songs till 2003. Since 2003, Junaid Jamshed is someone who makes each and every Pakistani proud. Yes, He started focusing on Islam, as music is not encouraged in Islam ! He totally changed. Stopped singing songs. The rockstar in himself died. Since then, he has been reciting Nasheeds. He is one of the best and most popular Islamic scholars in Pakistan now. Rohail Hyatt (kb/gtr player), He is now the best music producer(cokestudio) of Pakistan
@johnsmithengland .. Shahzad Hassan(bass player) also runs his own production house in Pakistan now. He is also pretty famous. Asad Ahmad(guitars) now a days leads two of the most popular rock bands in Pakistan. And is also one of the guitarists of COKE STUDIO (Pakistan's best production house) by Rohail Hyatt.
WoW! This is the first video where Indians and Pakistanis are not abusing each other like pigs. Probably because the music is so great. Are they still playing?
@ronniesoak2003 yessir!! they are the pioneer of rock n roll music in Pakistan..you showuld also try Pakistani coke studio, the baby of Vital Signs founder Rohail Hyatt..
It is an irony that such a beautiful singer is converted to nothing.
