There was some really great songs on Coming Up. This one included. But the first two albums were just Genius. Dog Man Star is one of the best albums of all time. Blur, Suede and The Manics ruled British Indie music in my opinion. There's nothing that can really compare these days.
Trash has always reminded me of the opening chords from Daddy's Speeding....Brett on his own = good but Brett with Bernard= excellence. You can hear the songs that Brett wrote with Butler b/c they're always just a bit more melodically interesting than anything they've done on their own. They're one of the most underrated songwriting teams of all time and rank right up there with Lennon/McCartney, Richards/Jaggar, etc. Unfortunately, most Americans have no idea they even exist.
Yeah this video was up a year or so ago and got taken down for some reason. I was dead gutted because I think it's quite moving to see the new normal looking Brett playing something that belongs so strongly to his androgeous early 90s days with Suede. It's not like used to be but I think that it's important to remember that it's Brett's song, he wrote it, and it's nice to see him perform a matured version of it to go with the matured version of him.
seriously i dont like how hes using his old songs in suede to promote his new album. if ur talented enuf u just dont do that. u write great new materials, a lot of them.
and i dont like arragement like this. it doesnt go wif the lyrics.
manics and suede are the two greatest bands of the past 30 years

Fairly ok, but why did he want to participate in the royal piece-of-shit-show. Long live the republic!
