FF12 - how to get level 99 fast & early (stage 3-3: Giza Plains)

i went through the western sand on my hunt for thextera and found a fideliant. I killed it with phoenix down. I had real luck and it dropped a heavy lance, a weapon with 48 attack.

The westersand in rabanaster is blocked off, do you have to complete some of the stroy?

Have you watched the parade event? If you have, then you can get into both Giza Plains and the Westersand. You can also explore a lot more of the Estersand, to where the river is. The extra parts of the Estersand is where you get the rod. The Westersand is the last place you'll be leveling up in the 70-hour method and you don't even need dustia or visit the palace. You have to complete Nalbina Dungeons for the 40-hour method, the fastest way to level up so early in the game.

As stated in the other segment, this process is one that takes 80 hours. There's no point in uploading 300+ segments where 90% of them have nothing going on but extreme repetition.

actually when obtain a high potion and the combat log shows you got a potion that means that you obtained a potion from loot.

Pretty much. You're likely referring to Penelo for the girl. And yes, you're doing all this before you even get Penelo... at least until stage 6 of the process.

You should also warn them about the Salamand Entite. Level 49 monster that is easily capable of killing you. You might have extreme trouble with it even at the highest level with the best equipment.

At this point in the game, the only entite you'll actually see is gnoma, and only if you enter the Westersand via Rabanastre or the cave. If you enter from Giza Plains (since it's always sunny at this point), it'll always be sunny or just cloudy which means no entites. Salamand entite is only in the sandseas - you'll have level 99 quite a ways before you'll get here and if you know what you're doing (have cura, alarm clocks, and immunity to silence), the entite shouldn't be too difficult.

after seeing how easy thextera was in this vid it makes me wish i lvl'ed abit more instead of taking it on at lvl 4.had to use like 5 potions to keep myself from dying. i ended up with a 3 to 1 fight agianst thextera and 2 wolves

In my "level 99 start" series, I fell the "flowering cactoid" mark in one hit. If you thought Thextera was hard, wait until stage 4 of this process where you'll face the enemies in the Westersand.

@ulillillia what the flowering cactuar? that mark is the smae thing you kivk a ball and then he is dead of course i do not want to offense you but if you have a a quickenings and a dark mote you can take him down really quick

I noticed at around 7:52 when you found that Hi-Potion the combat log showed you found just a Potion. Would you consider this a bug?

The combat log applies only to loot. Treasures are completely irrelevant to the combat log and thus, it's not a bug.

This is actually different. This is a new game that I started, just so I can record this and see if I can get level 99 in under 60 hours with 75 as the target. Little did I know I did it in under 50 hours....
