@rfwnplly Many psychopaths are psychotic though, or at the very least insanely irrational and self destructive, unlike most sociopaths who are normally sober and rational.

Of course psychopaths are sociopaths, but most sociopaths are not psychopaths. There's a joke among us sociopaths. A Psychopath will brazenly admit to anything, so the joke goes that a Sociopath can commit a hundred crimes and only be punished for one, while a Psychopath can commit only one and be punished for a hundred.

@williamblakeism no they aren't. psychotic are people that are delusional and lose touch with reality. Psychopaths are very much in reality, not fantasy at all. It is possible they can overlap, but they are not the same thing. Not all psychotic people are psychopaths and vice versa.
