The reason Israel tries to make believe that this the Aqsa mosque, is so when the day comes and they decided to bring down the real Al aqsa mosque the effect will be lessened. This will deceive much of the entire western world and the younger generations. Sadly, I have had to correct many muslim friends about this case. May Allah protect the Aqsa, The dome of the rock, and Mecca.

The sanctuary of the Masjid Al-Aqsa itself is very old. The domes and minarets which we see now were added much later.

The crusades are way after that.. and when the byzantines were ruling jerusalem.. there were only jews and christians.. and when the caliphate omar opened jerusalem.. Jews were originally not allowed in there... And the first thing the muslim army did is to clean the area of Al Aqsa Mosque.. to pray in there.. That area was neglected by the christians because of the hatred they had against the jews who were using that mosque to pray..

Mr hdm2007.. history says Masjid Al AQSA was there even at the times of Prophet Abraham.. it was there long long time ago.. and it was built after Al Kaaba was built in 40 years... so check out the history again man

jerusalem is a beautiful city and Dome of the Rock is its jewel. Everywhere you look you see white buildings but Dome of the Rock stands out as the Sun of Jerusalem.
