Ok first things first WC3 was great and people should stop commenting this if they have never played or taken the time to find out anything about either illidan or arthas. second look at the position of the blade and illidans wound they dont match up. and third i think blizard made illidan too evil in BC compared to WC3.

well I agree that they made him too evil in BC but i read somewhere a story that between the war3 and wow Illidan returns to outland and is so shocked by his defeat that it drives him crazy, that's the only thing he thinks about day and night and that it even makes him belive he defeated arthas eventually.. I don't know if this is an official story but sounds pretty decent that it would drive him mad and the demonic corruption finaly catches up with him

It is in a way, but when I hear ppl say Arthas is going to die like Illidan or anything like that, I have to disagree. I don't think the Lich King would just die, I would imagine that someone that powerfull and intelligent would retreat somewhere. Even if we do kill him we have all his generals and ext., unless if he dies they all die with him because his concious. Even if that happens, theres still the rest of the burning crusade that could enter somehow I would imagine.
