Merkley Fights to Extend Unemployment Benefits

Thank God for this man. Things are really really bad here in Portland Oregon. The REAL unemployment rate is at least 25% or more. Right now there are still 250,000 people unemployed in this state. Until NAAFTA is repealed and companies cannot leave states and move to get lower wages things will never get better. I have been to over 170 places and got all NOS. No one will hire me because I use a walker from a bad car wreck in 2006. I hate it here and feel it is unfair to be blamed for this.

Thanks for posting this video of how bad it is in Oregon. There are 500 people for every job. Employers do not call you back and treat you bad and do not follow common courtesy. The people at the employment department need to care rather than complain about the amount of people that are coming in. I hate the game here and the jobs that do not exist on Craigslist. I like all the videos about the horrible unemployment problem here in Portland and Oregon. I hate it here.

The real truth of the matter is that there are NO JOBS in Oregon and people call you and never call you back here making you think the job does not exist and the truth is it really does not. If there was a job for them to call you about to call them back they would call you back. The ads that are on Craigslist are non-existant jobs most of all by all the crap I have gone through looking for jobs on there. I hate the game playing and the lies here among the employment world. I am not garbage.

Merkley needs to fight for all the call centers that have gone out of business and left Portland for good never ever to return. There are no jobs here in Oregon and no one cares. They are trying to tak unemployment away from people and make people homeless. I got laid off from MSI through no falt of my own and Congress could care less and unmployment is my only hope. Social service agencies are stretched to the limit. I hate what has happened here in Oregon.

Extend the unemployment benefits. There are 1,000,000 million who will be homeless without an extension.

The government needs to realize that it's the only lifeline for these people and have some heart and extend it.
