@Zickcermacity Federal dosen't own Simplex and vice versa. Federal has for years always sold their products to other manufactures for re-labling. WS Darley relabled Model 2s 5s and STH-10s as their own in different housings, and the Vibratone series has been re-labled by just about every manufacture out there as was their old 30A and 50 AC horns. Also Simplex got alot of their older "newer" horns, like the 4050, 4051, 2901-9838, 2901-9833, and their now dropped bell and chime line from Faraday.
t he 350 can't be run off DC which is the main reason why it's not really marketed as a fire alarm. The 450 could, sense they're 24VDC, but you'd have to pair it with a ADA compliant strobe, which I'm not sure if Federal makes anymore. Plus most newer fire systems either use electronic horns or speakers, which all the major fire alarm manufactures are marketing.
Yup, but they do not market the Vibratone series as fire alarm devices any more do to code changes. These are primirily general signals now. Federal does have a fire alarm line now, which are re-labled Ademco select-a-horn/strobes.
