  • The rumour has it that this is still (years into the running) the favourite video og the National Norwegian Archivist! So glad someone subtitled it in English for the rest of the world to see!

  • Deze is helemaal leuk....technologie is niet alles, je mist de rijkdom van het boek......

  • I teach technology integration with writing to (some) reluctant teachers. This helps break the ice. Was this a TV skit, like the Norwegian "Saturday Night Live" or something?

  • Very illuminating - after watching this 5 times I no longer experience trepidation when opening a book!

  • adorei!

  • LOL...I'm a computer support person, this just fit the bill! I wish I had the patience that the guy on the left has!

  • that's really funny I'm sure that's what happened back then when people were a bit less clever lol

  • For more examples of change in technology,

see the books or TV programs of James

    Burke; like "Connections".

When I was a kid, for example, we didn't have

computers. Or ball point pens, or silly putty,

or detergents, or cake mixes, or dome lights

    in cars.

Or LP records, or stereo, or TV, or the

    slinky, etc. ,ad. infinitum.

  • *Norweigen

  • its Noreigen (bad spelling sorry)

  • Why are you all so concerned about the language? Is it so strange to find something funny in another language that isn't English?

  • It might not be so much that people are concerned about the language as that they're curious about it.

  • Well, whatever the language this is very clever and very funny.

Thank you for posting this video.

    addie B)

  • you should put a third language in the middle, then it would be funny!

  • its norwegian trust me i speak both danish and swedish and thats norwegian

  • Wait...now, how did you do that again?

  • For the students on the Information Systems class: What lessons did we learn from this video? I remember the prof said something like: "Technology changes, we need to be prepared" But what other lessons can we learn from this video?

  • They are not speaking norwegian OR french, it's Danish - I should know - I was married to a Dane for 24 years

  • nope.. they from norway or sweeden..

but the translate under is danish..

  • they are speaking Swedish, the text on the buttom is danish and top it's english as you can see :)

  • They speak norwegian..I should know,I am norwegian

  • Comment removed

  • isn't it swedish ? really sounds like that... (I'm from Denmark)

but 1 thing is for sure, it is NOT danish :)

  • @mirre08

yes, but they don't wirte norwegian in the subtiltes, or do they? I am a little confused, caus I speak norwegian and am confused bout the writen words?

  • "introducing le book" why do you have "le" in there? They're speaking norwegian....not french.

  • good vid!

  • Kind of like my mom when I help her with the computer.

  • That's actually an excellent example of proper helpdesk attitude: No matter how clueless the user was, the support guy never lost his temper or became arrogant and condescending. Remember, it's the clueless users out there that pay our salary, so be GLAD they don't know it all themselves.

  • AMEN BRUTHA!!!!

  • @LumiereBrothers agreed =)

  • This is how I feel helping certain people with their computers.

  • Haha, I was kinda expecting it to go 'And what happens when I want to get to the same place of text I left off at?'

    'Bookmark it.'

  • "....And it continues THERE!" I was laughing all the way.

  • wat is it

  • This is awesome :p

  • This is really funny.

  • This is what helping people with their computers is like for me...

  • OMG That was so funny.

  • This is so true, i work as a service desk analyst and this is what we deal with all day, great video.

  • This would indeed be a very good commercial for Apple.

I loved it and hope everyone did!

  • cool

  • Top video this very funny indeed :-)

  • HAHAHA i work as an IT technician and i hear stuff like that all day long!! Awesome. simply awesome

  • So THATS how old people feel when confronted with a Computer!

  • Absolutely outstanding! Superb! I laughed the whole time!

  • Fantastic. This would be a nice commercial voor the Apple Macbook. Regards from Robert the Mac fan.

  • Just think how funny Monty Python could've been if they'd avoided English..!

  • If it was PORN no training is needed.

Porn gives you the reward to train yourself.

If if wasn't for porn I would be an Internet

    illigitiment!

  • so true

  • Loved it! ;) Hysterical, huh?

  • That's what I feel like every time I've got to help people with computers in Financial lit. Some people are really that dumb!

  • Not much about new technology has changed today. When I was working at a computer department in college, I used to get calls from people asking where the "any" key is; they said "well, the manual said press any key but I just can't find it on the keyboard." :D

  • Technology, got to love it!

  • Hah, great video. Great title by the way.

  • Make up your own title :|

  • Thats awesome! :)
