When I use Transpose Scale, it doesn't work properly, it actually scale from the center of the model instead of from the other point... Does ZBrush 4 has a different way of handling it? I'm trying to scale the hands of a character but when I try it moves the hands away and stretch the wrist :/ (the whole model is masked except the hands, it just doesn't operate from the right pivot point)
@HCkev : Use the MOVE tool (next to scale/rotate) and drag the INNER CIRCLE of the end handle to stretch in that axis, I struggled with this for ages too.
@3DGameResources Well that was not because of that, I actually found it happens when Symmetry is enabled. The workaround I found is to disable symmetry, use the transpose, then use Smart resym...
Okey, so i don't get it, my program is called Sculptris and looks nothing like this, even tho i search for this in google. Im kinda confused about this. How can i get this version? Nice vid btw :-)
@mrsmariatr : Sculptris is a different program made by the same people. Sculptris is free and ZBrush is about $700. Worth every penny if you're serious about this stuff but Sculptris is fine for learning basic sculpting techniques. Search on here for Sculptris tutorials...Good Luck!
Awesome tutorial, simple demonstration. Your accent is kinda funny too-- at the beginning of your sentences you sound distinctly British, and by the end of the sentence you sound more American. I wonder where you've lived throughout your life.
Excuse me... Am I new in zbrush. I recentrly was working in a model, nothing too complex, however I save it when i have mask a part model, I save as object and know I dont know how to re-enter to edit mode, It doesnt let me with T, or cliking edit mode, and I cant make a polymesh so... I cant edit my model any more... Why is happening this? Thanks in advance...
I am trying to learn this line thing, trying to rotate a subtool object in multi subtool objects. I just can't seem to select the "center of one object" with this tool. :(
How do I select the center (like on certain axis)?
or, like selecting "on" one axis while in masking tools?
Thank you very much for this quick one, showed exactly what I needed! :) My transpose always looked odd, now I now you can smooth out the mask to make everything look more realistic, nice!
The "action line" is the line you draw with the transpose tool, it defines where the unselected/un-masked areas will be rotated about or moved etc, its like drawing a bone in a leg then rotating the leg by rotating the bone. Hope that helps, have a play around with it and draw/postion the action line to see its effects!!
