  • Riding is better and thts final.

  • Its not easy, who ever thinks it is

  • Veldig bra laget!! :D <3

  • Ryry2kid Ok maybe walking on a horse is not a sport but once you get into cantering or jumping, galloping or anything else it takes dedication not just english riding but western to. Oh and how would you like it if someone hated on your sport. you would feel crushes so dont say stuff about other peoples sport

  • Ghdd

  • By the way all of the haters for Ryry2kid go on to his channel he has commented on alot of equestrian videos and said " Equestrian is not a sport and football is" so it shows he crits for the fun of it which I dont see the point of.

  • IF IRS NOT A SPORT THEN WHY DON'T YOU TRY STAYING ON A BUCKING HORSE? I'VE DONE IT WITH FAILS! plz subb i have already subbed... IF YOUR WITH ME THAN SUBB!

  • the hunt for Ryry2kid's comment begins xD

  • Why do more equestrians die each year from horse falls then football, baseball, hockey, and basketball put together. Becasue it's a tough sport and in horseback you get no second chances you eithier go out their and give it your all or you won't survive.

    Plain and Simple

  • truly inspiring video, i agree.I fell off 2 weeks ago and got back on - i now know i got back on with a broken collar bone and separated shoulder!! yes us equestrians are tough!

  • This is incredible. I dare anyone to just flat around a ring PROPERLY once. My daughter does this and I had no idea what kind of physical and mental training this takes until I tried to ride a horse around the ring. Post properly, watch your diagonal, hold the reins properly, now steer while all this is going on. I guarantee that you will be sweating!! The six days a week that my daughter spends training is not only riding, its grooming her horse and making sure he has everything he needs.

  • @1995racer its sooo not watching if you're doing it... and its not just going around a track, its making sharp turns on a dime and jumping over huge obstacles that your horse could or could not decide to jump. let me ask you; have you ever ridden a horse faster than walking?

  • This is absolutely phenomenal. And for all the people in the comments who are dissing riders, you obviously don't understand what it takes to ride horses.

  • Lol horse riding.. Try motocross.. Horse racing is like motocross.. You actually have to be fit.. Except you have to race for 30+ minutes plus two laps going as hard as you can.. So technically motocross is way more fun, way more risky, and over all a better sport :) way more demanding that horse racing... Hahah

  • @1995racer Uh....seriously? Have you seen how ripped jockeys are? Have you seen how fit they are? And don't argue that they only do it for two minutes, because for those 2 min they're holding back 1000 or more pounds and they do it for up to several hours every day, on different horses. Not ragging on motocross. My friend races motocross. It's tough. Just saying, no tougher than jockeying. Also, the experience is similar. Going fast and hard. Just as much fun.

  • @Kirilya yep motocrossers are ripped as well. and yeah we go as hard as we can for 30 minutes + 2 laps. throwing around a 250 lb bike. i get that it is hard as hell to ride a horse. all your strength and you have to spend countless hours of training.. and many more than i have no idea about cuz i dont do that. i dont get how that is fun.. cuz its not likely that someone "crashes".. and i get that you are betting on it too.. i just dont get how that is entertaining simple as that.

  • @1995racer oh, yeah, and i bet you can control an unpredictable animal that could turn on you at any minute whilst trying to remember a set of complicated moves around a ring with hundreds and thousands of people watching your every move?

And you said that you dont get how horse riding is fun? well, i bet youve never experienced the sheer thrill of racing through fields on the best friend youve ever had? i bet youve never had a delicate bond between you and a horse? no, i thought not.

  • @1995racer does your motocross bike have a mind of it's own? can your motocross bike take one move and kill you because of it's own doing? No. A horse is 1000+ pounds of pure muscle that can turn from calm and collected to deadly in 5 seconds. You can prepare to be a better motocross-er or whatever but no ammount of preparation can prevent a horse from injuring you of killing you. Do you controll 1000 pounds of muscle and jump it higher than your height? nope. Horse back riding is way more risky

  • @RidingTemptation who fucking cares if its more risky? you go around a track and ride a horse.. i dont get how that is fun to watch

  • This video is amazing and so true I got shivers watching it (in a good way) because the message is so powerful. Go equestrians!

  • this is an amazing video and i love every second of it.

  • ( continued ) we risk our lives every time we get on that horse and put all of our trust in it . i don't think a football or basket ball player has to worry about DYING when they step out onto the court or field. my point is horseback riding IS a sport and IS (by far) harder than soccer and most sports out there

  • alright im not gonna lie when my friend told me about horseback riding i thought it was soo easy and all u do is just sit on a horse . i have played select soccer for 7 years and one day i decided iv had enough. my heart lead me to horseback riding . i regret EVERYTHING i said about it . we not only control a wild animal we have to look good while doing it like my trainer said and equestrian08 we don't sit on the horse we have to ride it .theres a big difference.

  • what's the song?

  • it't true what do you think:)

I have won a meadal in a riding competiton and win a football match:)

    I know this

  • so true...:)

  • Thankyou for posting this.. it ust shows how much effort we have to put into this to make it work! and you never see footballers brushing, feeding and grooming their football do you?

  • oh thankyou for this video! i hate when people say i need to get into a sport that will get me exersise. Lets see them jump a fence! lol! and teamwork? theres no more teamwork then when you are sitting on a horses back.

  • Could anyone tell me where to find the music used in this clip?? :)

  • I have to agree. If you have never ridden, never Really ridden, and have never had that feeling of flying while soaring over a jump on horseback then you have absolutely no room to talk. Horseback riding is one of the most taxing sports when it comes to competing. Horses have their own minds and if they don't want to do something then YOU are the one in hot water. I've found this out for myself a time or two and trust me, it hurts. Btw. Absolutely love the title lol I got a real laugh out of it.

  • just being onesed i play every sport here in Ireland and every fuck sport is hard but da hards is horse riding

    now dats da true

  • I hate when someones says riding isn't a sport, I see it as my future, and my mom said that was a 5-year-old answer and I should look for something else...NEVER IN WHOLE FREAKING LIFE TIME MOM

  • i hate when people say that we're not an athletes or that horses r dumb animals that just shows that those people will never find love

    I LUV JAKE:P

  • great title by the way

  • hard sorry not easy

  • i love the title and i feel exactly like you. there are some kids in my class who say oh you jump 4'9 thats how tall i am thats easy.and i just say wow you are really messed up in the head if you think thats easy

  • Owyaeh, ♥

  • riders know the power of flight without wings.

  • Comment removed

  • I like football but, football's a game, Equestrian is a sport.

  • @Ryry2kid the only reason you think it's easy is because we make it look easy :)

  • @sorreltail098 i 100000000000000000000000000000000000000% agree and i ride 3 horses, 17.2hh, 15.3hh, and a pony 14.2hh lol

  • I swim and I ride they're both sports and they are both equally hard!!!! You can make them as hard as you want :)

  • Wow this video is amazin. My friend recently passed away from a horse inciedent but shes looking down on mne and she keeps me safe. Horses are my life and nothing other can compare. R.I.P Arianna<33

  • Ugh now I get to go look for Ryry2kid's comment XD

  • They should use this video for the Wolrd Equstrian Games. :D

  • I love riding. Riding is my sport. Im not athletic and after riding i am tired. I love to watch good people ride. love the video by the way. The titles awsome. glad you didnt change it.:)

  • Grab the reins while you can! love horse-riding

  • To those people who were not even a horse that does not seek to comment on, watching this video, it makes me stronger, it is amazing, and people who do it, they understand how each of the lives they are all important, they can not live without it. To understand the horse, and to find contact with him and stay him in the back, it is difficult, but they do it!

  • Wow, this is amazing... i love it!(:

  • actually golf is a lot harder than you think, not saying its harder then horseback riding.

  • I think the title should be "If it was that easy, they would call it golf!" lol

  • i think this kid just searches for riding videos and posts mean shit, go to his channel and look!

  • i sprained my back on sunday because i was going up to a 3'3 over and my more refused it and my back hit the jump.

  • @mommyslittlequeen it was not a 3'3 oxer it was a 2 ft crossrail gabby.

  • @PaintMeADream127 Lol this made meh laugh :P

  • @peacebeauty101 glad

  • @PaintMeADream127 lol k?

  • @peacebeauty101 you said it made you laugh so i was glad

  • @PaintMeADream127 Lol i know that

  • so dont sit here and tell me how horseback riding isn't a sport and you could do it easily, dont tell me its the same as sex! im sick of this i want to see you tack up a horse and do a piaffe without practice or jump 4ft oxer or a extremly wide triple bar. like this if you agree with me! or message me i like to chat(: haha

  • rejecting a jump, and when other sports mess up, theres always one more chance to fix it, wedont have any chances we have to get it perfect the first time. and when are horse pulls a muscles that destory everyting.

  • communicate without words and that takes a very strong bond which are hard to have with your horse. every single tiny flaw can destroy are career such as knocking a pole, your horse

  • honestly i think horseback riding is the hardest sport there is, i see people posting on facebook about how they sprained there ankle in softball, or damn hard work out at soccer, or foot ball is easy if your crazy as shit, well horseback riders cant complain. we risk are lives every time we put are foot in the stirrup. are team mate is are horses and we have to

  • when he thinks of buying boots he only thinks oh 50 buck, ha dream on try 200 to 600 dalors. saddle 2000-5000. bridle 200...you see where this is going. and you stiill have to calculate the training and boarding fee's and show fees too. and if you want a good horse you might want to start saving up around 30000 dallors- yes i said thirty thousand dallors. oh and when it looks easy that means the rider is riding the correct way, which takes a lot of skill.

  • @justingirl247 my mom got my jumping saddle at a tack sale for 25$ lol

  • first thing she isnt saying football sucks, she is saying horseback riding is more intense and takes a lot more work. and if horseback riding isnt a sport, explain to me why its in the Olympics then? i would like to see you get on a horse for the first time ever and do ll the things you see in the video perfectly. in foot ball if you dont make a point one inning theres always the next inning to fix it, in horsebck riding one flaw could instantly desroy your career....

  • PLUS this sport takes dedication. I would love to see your face when you saw the bill to buy a Pair of boots. Yes Boots. Oh and don't forget everything else that comes along the way. The Saddle, the saddle pad, the bridle, the girth, the feed, the boarding fee, blankets, show outfit, casual riding clothes, and the medical supplies, and of course the Horse, which can be around $20,000 dollars together. Football? you just need a ball and you can play a game in your front yard.

  • Ever notice when your in school or Phys ed or whatever you do Units. Or you learn to do different sports like volleyball, football, soccer, or do track. And maybe by a week or two you are actually pretty good, granite not as good as the professionals, but you can Do the it, and you know the basics of the game. Ha Yeah. My friend has been riding for 2 months now and she can barely trot. Me. The first two months of my riding i couldnt trot either. I couldn't canter for maybe 6 months. Its a sport.

  • I don't think non-equestrians understand the technique and skill you have to have to be a rider. If you think its easy, I would love to see all of you get on a 1,400 pound horse and do what we do. Even I think it's difficult, and I have been riding for over 2 years.

  • I'm probably the only one that's not gonna comment positively or negatively about riding..what I'm gonna do is ask a question... Where. can. I. Find. This. Epic. MUSIC!?!?!

  • Anyone can SIT on a horse. Not anyone can RIDE a horse.

  • @Equestrian08 There is this guy in my class, and he said, I can ride a horse any time, probably better than you, it's gonna be really easy, the jumping and everything. I was like good luck with that, because I have some gnarly scars from the past of riding, but I dont care because I love the sport

  • @Equestrian08 I doubt my ability to do either =p

  • @Equestrian08 an look good 2!!

  • There are so many fools commenting on here. Riding when done the CORRECT way is very physically exerting. It works many muscles that other physical activities do not. It requires very strong core muscles and extremely strong leg muscles. You think we just put our feet in the irons and sit there? Any talented well experienced and conditioned rider can ride a horse at all gaits and over fences without stirrups. And that requires lots of strength.

  • horse riding is definitely a sport! it's in the olympics, you can't deny it. it actually does require so much skill. you are controlling an animal that could kill you within seconds, tell me that requires no skill. trail rides, fair enough it's quite relaxed and easy. but once you get into competing there is no time to take it easy and relax. it's practice, practice, practice! for hours everyday of the week. people do not give us enough recognition. equestrianism <3

  • Is all any of you can say is "have you ever been crushed by a 1200 pound animal"? Danger doesn't make a sport a sport. Base jumping is much more dangerous and that isn't a sport either.

  • @Ryry2kid Your another one of those people. Before you even think about posting on another horse back video that horse back riding isn't a sport, anyone can do it or it's really easy, I want you to get on a horse and see how easy it is to control a 1200 pound unpredictable animal, or how easy it is to post for five minutes non stop, or how simple it is to jump five feet in the air! Continued ------->

  • Comment removed

  • @Ryry2kid its not a sport? Yet it is one of the most popular Olympic disciplines, recognised and competed in worldwide, with various official governing bodies. The danger element just leads some to class it as an extreme sport. And it is the only sport, I am aware of, where men and women compete equally, which makes it by far the best sport around!

  • @Ryry2kid

lulz this kid got shit on for posting this comment...what a fucking idiot.

  • @Ryry2kid When you ride a horse, you are only one being. Your mind and body flows and you feel the freedom. Fine, don't call it a sport. That's fine by me, because you are an ignorant asshole who needs to learn more than a thing or two about our maintenance in riding, exercise and cleaning. Sheesh. Everyone! I bet this guys juss likes pissing us off. We would murder you.

  • @Ryry2kid You're correct. Higher danger and risk does not equal a sport. How much money you have to spend does not equal a sport. However, just because it is not something you see on tv all the time or is not as well known does not mean it isn't a sport. I see more horseback competitions on television than I do swimming, so is swimming less of a sport? When was the last time you saw track and field on tv?

  • @Ryry2kid What makes horseback riding a sport is the fact that it is both physical and mental. Just like a quarterback who needs to hold himself steady in the midst of a play to throw a perfect pass, following through with excellent form, an equestrian needs to hold themselves perfectly in the saddle until the right moment before a wall where they must tell their horse to jump and be able to follow through with excellent form.

  • @Ryry2kid Like a soccer or hockey player that needs precise control of a ball/puck while moving, a dressage rider needs to sit perfectly and keep perfect control of all 1000 lbs of their horse will executing perfect movements. Like a swimmer that needs to swim quickly, but be able to turn at exactly the right moment with the right force, a barrel racer needs to get their horse moving as fast as possible while still keeping enough control to turn them tightly around a barrel.

  • @Ryry2kid Anyone can sit on a horse and let it walk around, but anyone can also wade in a pool or shoot some hoops - are they allowed to say that swimming and basketball aren't sports? I've seen all types of guys throw a football around without breaking a sweat - so is football not a difficult sport. Just like you can wade in a pool, you can sit on a horse, but also like you can really swim hard in a pool, you can truly ride a horse.

  • @Ryry2kid Horseback riding isn't physically taxing because you're making hard hits or showing large displays of physical fitness. It's physically taxing because of the many, many small, intricate, and precise moments you need to perform. You have to have complete control of your body to move it exactly how it needs to be moved, from moving your leg an inch back to squeezing only strong enough to get a horse moving at a specific speed. You need to be strong to have that kind of control.

  • If nobody cares, why are they responding?

And bowlers are super dedicated to bowling, doesn't make it a sport. You can be dedicated to everything. And I don't care how high level of dressage you are, competitive swimming is way more technical that riding. Ever notice how everyone knows who Michael Phelps is, and nobody knows equestrians?

  • @Ryry2kid I agree that swimming is a difficult sport. ALONG with riding it uses the most muscles in the human body. We use our calf muscles to steer, or thighs to balance ourselves, our abs to control the horse's speed, and arms for corrections -or, in my case, to help balance a very unbalanced thoroughbred. It's not easy controlling a 1200 pound animal with your legs and abs alone, especially when they want to be lazy.

  • @Ryry2kid

hey u the hater? its in the olympics so if it is does that mean all of those sports aren't really sport ( including swimmmmmminggg... )

  • @Ryry2kid Nobody as in you....

  • @Ryry2kid Ahhhhhh, you said a horse word! Listen up, have you noticed how they made movies about two famous racehorses. Yes swimming is hard but doesn't mean you have to go posting comments on our videos. If you post a swimming video I know what the first comment is going to say. Get a life!

  • @Ryry2kid dude this is a hard sport. We make it look easy because the whole point is to make it look graceful. I can 100% say that I know that dressage and jumping are more technical than swimming. I have to use leg yields, chatting with my hands, posting etc, and that isn't even hard riding that is the basics. Horses are huge animals that don't have a button like a to do things. Don't crit what you don't know cuz u sounds like an annoying ignorant fool.

  • where does the soundtrack come from?

I personally agree with everything in this movie.

  • @gecko

Not that hard. Nowhere near as hard as a soccer or football practice

  • @Ryry2kid

Well, I agree with you. Riding isn't very hard at all.

Not until you're galloping towards a 5' jump.

Not until a thousand pounds of solid muscle flips and lands on top of you.

Not until you fly into a fence at 30 miles an hour.

Not until you're a jockey and do little besides try to stay in top condition.

For your information I'm 5' 3" and I only weigh 106 pounds. I used to weigh 120 before I started riding, and I don't even compete.

    Go talk bullshit elsewhere.

  • @Ryry2kid lmfao this made me laugh bahahaahhhahha this is soooooooooo ridiculous its funny

  • @Ryry2kid

hey let me just say hatin on horse riding WAS THE WORST MISTAKE OF UR LIFE ;)

  • @Ryry2kid Oh and my dad played football all his life and I made him ride a horse and he fell off really quickly and said it was very hard. My brother plays hockey and baseball and he will say the same thing about riding.

  • @deathkitty

That was probably the stupidest comment so far! You could play soccer when you were born, but took 4 years to be a decent rider? You think your a decent soccer player because you can kick a ball? Thats like someone saying they're a decent rider because they can pet a horse.

  • @Ryry2kid

    get a lifeeeeeee

  • @Ryry2kid My last comment to you at least, Tomorrow I want you to go to the local stable, tack up a horse, lope or maybe even gallop with one hand without stirrups, without falling. After you do that, try posting one of your stupid and dumb comments on OUR videos. After you finally see what we're talking about then we'll talk. K?

  • @Ryry2kid I played soccer for about 6 years. And I have been riding for about the same time. I can honestly say soccer isn't half the sport that riding is. riding is 200x harder, and it requires a bigger bond with your teammate.

  • ...as soon as i could walk, not as well as premiership players but i could still kick a ball and get it in a goal, yes i started riding at 3 years old but it took over 4 years before i was a half decent rider, i like to think i am a good rider now but it is a sport that you are always improving on!

  • Everyone saying riding is easy, please feel free to come and jump my horse over fillers or gallop him and try to stop or even try and school in a decent outline which is basics, then we will see just how easy it is. All these people don't know the feeling of approaching a huge jump and you can barely see over it, you don't know if you will make it but you have to believe for you and your horse both and literally pick your horse up over it. Grow up people lol i could play football...

  • gosh, i really miss show jumping and riding generally:( if you can ride, don´t blow it like i did, you´ll regret like i do! ;)

  • I event horses, competitively swim, run, and XC ski and I can tell you that all of these are sports . Every sport has its challenges, yes EVERY sport. The thing that makes horse back riding so hard is the dedication it takes to even get to the point where you even can ride the horse none the less compete. Unlike other sports where the athlete can feed and cloth themselves, in horse back riding the person must provide those services. Riding a stubborn horse takes a lot of effort too. Thanks!

  • Having sex burns 270 calories, so riding horses is just barely above that. Point invalid. And I'm not about to drive 8 hours to the state fair to ride a horse. Table tennis and shooting are also at the Olympics. Not sports either. And if you asked anyone but an equestrian who a famous equestrian is, they wouldn't have an answer. Never on tv, news, or have any big tournaments. There is a reason for that.

  • @Ryry2kid dude im not sorry for saying this!! stop being a jerk and get a life

no one cares what you think

its a sport now get over it!!!!

  • @Ryry2kid you must have boring sex only burning off 270 calories! The message below comes from the fact just sitting on a horse for an hour burns around 300-400 calories, that's just walking! And I have never seen any swimming events on the TV, except for the Olympics, yet each year BBC1 covers the Badminton and Burghley horse trials, all 3 days of each! Never mind Olympia and the Horse of the year show. You know you are wrong and are just making up bad excuses rather than apologising.

  • @Ryry2kid Mate stop chattin fuckin bull shit so what if its not on tv all the fuckin time, that dosent mean anything!! Have you ever ended up in hospital for 1 month because of a sprt?? HUH?? horseriding is very much a sport so shut the hell up! you dont know what your chatting bout get a friken life dude i bet you've never even riden a horse have you???

  • @Ryry2kid Never on tv, news or have any big tournaments...wtf?! The Olympics, Olympia, the Grand National, Horse of the Year Show, all of these are on telly, the first three on major channels, and if you asked any kid in my class they'd be able to tell you that Ruby Walsh is a famous jockey who rides the famous chaser Kauto Star (who has been on the news multiple times by the way), and that the Whitakers are a major equestrian family.

  • @Ryry2kid have you ever tried to jump a stubborn, hot headed, hyper, 1000-2000 pound horse over a 6ft fence? no you haven't. so if you have mean, distressful shit to say, then don't say it. besides, you probably don't know what you are even talking about.

  • @lolzdogs111 agreed ;)

  • @Ryry2kid my friend (who has nothing to do with riding whatsoever) saw a picture of Pippa Funnell, and said to me, 'oh thats Pippa Funnell isn't it? that really good horserider' and i hadn't even mentioned Pippa to her before. Also, if i was walking down the road, and saw a Famous footballer (other than David Beckham) i wouldnt have any idea who it was, and why everyone was making such a fuss. The only reason that you dont see it on tv IS THAT YOU NEVER WATCH THAT CHANNEL. Really? Shutup now.

  • And risk of injury does not make a sport a sport. Bowling has a risk of injury. NASCAR has an even greater risk than horses, and drivers arent athletes in the least. The only difference is that riders have to use some muscle.

  • Sweet jesus there's an army against me hahah. I don't have the motivation to reply to each and every one of you so I won't.

The difference reason equestrian isn't a sport is simply because you can stick anyone on a trained horse and they will cooperate. My ex rode horses all her life and didn't consider it a sport. There is no skill in sitting on a horse and telling it to jump over stuff. And to whoever said something about lazy my football lovin butt sitting or whatever, (american) football p

  • @Ryry2kid oh yeah and who trained that horse?

  • @Ryry2kid Wow that's bullshit.

  • @Ryry2kid - Well, see I understand where your coming from but not all the horses your ex rode are like that, some are wild and how do you think we stay on them ? but if it isn't a sport then why is it in the Olympics ?

  • @Ryry2kid this is what u said (i quote) "The difference reason equestrian isn't a sport is simply because you can stick anyone on a trained horse and they will cooperate" hahaa ok i tried that once believe me i was sick and tired of my friend saying what i do is easy so i stuck him on my friends horse and said do what i do i want u to canter on lap and then go jump that jump he was off in a matter of secs and i might add that horse was very well trained

  • @Ryry2kid yeah so youve "ridden" a horse? dude, riding an old, tiny, bush-button, pleasant little shetland at some local fair IS NOT horse riding! please do not say things like that, your just making a fool of yourself in front of thousands of horse riders. plus, if you hate horse riding so much, why are you even watching videos like these? the reason you dont know any famous horse riders if because you dont bother to find out about them! you waste your life with football!

  • i love this video and its soo true, id like to see some people do this and see how hard it actually is!

  • @TheEllieandme you know what i find funny pepole say a horse is easy to ride that there trained and i always say well yes even if it is trained it has its own mind and it can decide like that whether it will behave or throw you off and potentily kill you, and someone had to train it! their face is always like -_- OH! xx

  • @fastest

I don't swim, so I don't take any offense to that lol. Swimmer are 10 times the athlete riders are. And like the other guy said, it IS a sport for the horse. Not the rider. They have to jump over shit, riders just direct them. You arent physically doing anything to make them jump.

  • @Ryry2kid

oh so you are saying controling a big animal with a mind of its own IS EASY!?!?

Im sorry but You obviusly cant tell what a real sport IS!

You may play sports but you play with humans who you can talk to we have only TRUST we cannot TELL a horse WHAT TO DO! IT IS HARD NOT THAT YOU WOULD KNOW! xGo Equestrian!x

  • @Ryry2kid Besides the riding, you're forgetting the mucking out, 5am mornings, carrying water buckets, heavy haynets... training at home till you can't breathe & your stomach muscles are screaming. "Riders just direct them"... God, that's the most noobie thing I've ever heard. Only someone who knows nothing about riding would say that, as though you just get on & tell a horse what to do... then it does it. It's an animal with a mind of it's own, it doesn't work like that. Just try it

  • @Ryry2kid yep ur totally right cuz u most definetly ride horses haha wat a joke shut up and stop talking about somthing you know nothing about

  • @Ryry2kid I can't help but say something about this. You have your so called "explanation" for jumping, I can't say I agree, but its your opinion. I have to say if you try riding I think your opinion would change. But how do you explain Dressage? If we do "nothing" how do our horses jump sideways? How do you explain Passage? Pirouettes? And even western riding? Reigning? There is a lot more than Jumping and Racing. Please explain how its easy?

  • @Ryry2kid er, YES you are physically doing something to make them jump. you have to squeeze the sides in EXACTLY the right place with EXACTLY the right precision. AND you have to keep the reins short while the horse is using all its strength to take them back. if you are not in the EXACTLY correct position when the horse is in mid-air, you are GUARANTEED to fall of and at the VERY LEAST sprain your wrist. trust me, i have had MUCH worse injuries than that, and i will not even begin to tell you.

  • @coach1day you would know....

  • @coach1day Its a sport for both. get on my horse, and do what i do every damn day and tell me when your done. that being an equestrian is not a sport. and tell me your legs don't hurt and tell me that your body isn't in pain, and when you fall off, at crazy speeds over objects that don't move, tell me that, that fall didn't hurt. and when you've done all that. and do it at your best given will.then tell me that being an equestrian is just a sport for the horse. learn your facts before you talk.

  • @coach1day - Explain how we even stay on the horse when it's jumping 5 something feet in the air, ? Honestly I doubt you have ever rode a horse and I'm not talking about some stupid pony ride. So you have NO room to talk.

  • @coach1day you come ride my horse then tell me that!

  • @coach1day climb in that saddle and jump a 5 foot solid obstacle and stay on.

  • @coach1day

well then why don't you try itttt >:)

  • @coach1day Because you've been in jockey position at canter without using you hands. Them only allowing you to use the muscle from the thigh to knee. Yes, totally easy.

  • gay title

  • @Ryry2kid HAHAHA that doesnt describe riders at all! .Im 5' 6" and 110 lbs and not fat, honeslty no one cares about what you think about riding, we know the physical challenge it faces everytime you get on.Not trying to dis track and swimming but have you ever watched dressage?do you think they just sit there and hope to god the horse does what its supposed to do?Or how about jumpers? do you think they just point the horse at the jump and hope for the best? no.think before you type.

  • @Ryry2kid Um, I'm 5'7 and 120. So, shut up :) Swimming? A sport for gay little boys :) Yes, I went there hoe.

  • @Ryry2kid clearly you have not seen many riders.....

  • @ohsoawesome12 he clearly has never riden either

  • @Ryry2kid I find this incredibly insulting!

Firstly because most other sports DO have a general body type which suit that sport (yes like swimming) and I'm not debating that you need technique for them.

Also, Equestrian is probably the only sport that anyone of any shape and size can pursue, and what you really need is patience, dedication, trust, and courage.

Oh, and I'm 5'10 and 55kgs... i don't even know what that is in pounds, but its NOT A LOT! Likewise, almost everyone I know :)

  • @Ryry2kid Lisen I swim competitively and have the past 9 years. I have swam longer than than I have been riding. Yes, swimming works all your muscles but riding a horse, and I mean really riding like eventing, dressage, and show jumping works your core muscles. After I ride I get so out of breathe and swimmming you have to be very fit to swim fast for a long time and I do distence swimming and I am the same amount out of breathe from swimming a mile and when I ride. It is a sport.

  • @Ryry2kid look at me, I'm 5,1 1/2 and 95lbs. And i'm as petite as petite gets. Many riders look like me, I could be a jockey because I am done growing. And speaking of jockies, every single one is about 100lbs or less and alot of them are smaller than me! Dude, you got a lot to learn. You don't come onto a video and leave idiot comments like this. If you wanna talk smack, find a football video and waste peoples time pissing & moaning about how the big bad horse lovers hurt your wittle feelings.

  • @Ryry2kid I can probably crush your skull with my thighs. Thats fat? yea sure. I don't work out, i ride horses bro.

  • @Ryry2kid And so what if we're shaped that way, everybody is different. Swimming requires more technique? Clearly, you've never seen dressage preformed at the highest level. You've never seen the dedication. I'm an avid rider and I'm 5'4, 140 pounds of muscle. Clearly, you're uneducated on the subject.

  • @Ryry2kid

yea swimming is hard too but don't go hatin on our sport k?

  • @Ryry2kid Everything you just said is absolute rubbish! You forget a lot of Equestrian are kids, and most kids (4-12) Are NOT 5'4 and 150 friggin' pounds. So you've obviously not seen many of us!

  • @Ryry2kid You're a person who has never ridden a horse right? And by ridden I mean, haha your trainer makes you use your thigh and knee muscles only, keep your heels down toes up, jockey position with no hands, posting (google it) with no hands. I am more fit now than I ever was doing track or swimming, and yes I did both. I'm 5'7, and im 130 pounds. Of muscle. Don't comment on something you know nothing about, you might get proven wrong.

  • @Ryry2kid FAT? Really? You think jockeys, show jumpers, dressage and eventing riders are FAT? Seriously. Obviously you have seen, what, 0 riders! Even looking at the riders in this video tells you equestrians are NOT fat.

  • @Jasper

Football is only seriously played by America, that's why it isn't in the olympics. Real football is in the Olympics, and is also the most popular sport in the world.

  • @Ryry2kid HAHA. you make me laugh! A linemen has a mind, he knows if he is about to kill you or if he seriously hurt you, someone can come tackle him to get him off of you. Do you think someone can stop a 1000lb animal thats out of control from hurting someone? NO. Us riders have to stay fit, we have to have amazing leg muscles if we lose our stirrups, we have to have strong arm muscles to control a horse that is strong and crazy. It takes WAY more technique than any sport ive ever played.

  • @Ryry2kid trail rides dont count bro

  • @ohsoawesome12

    true that

  • @Ryry2kid Well maybe it's hard work running around and catching a damn ball, but you sure arnt sayin much for the attitudes of the people that play that sport. You can get all hot and bothered on your field and kick and scream and tackle and get rid of pent up energy. Equestrains have to controll our emotions at ALL times, remain focused while keeping our muscles in check. And then we have to do the same for the horse. You haven't "ridden" a horse. You sat your football lovein butt on one.

  • @Ryry2kid

if you ride often then you would know how hard it is!

i should know i recently fell of into a fence and i had to go to hospital and i now have a scar across my arm! HORSE RIDING IS A SPORT!
