  • its pointless close up because u can't see his form

  • He has the hand-eye coordination of a god.

  • Yeah, I totally agree. I doubt this guy will ever win a slam!

  • HAHAHahaaahhaaha, what an idiot

  • KING forever!

  • nadal's deezed and federer's lean. does that solve this problem now? they're both pro, so YEAH! (Y)

  • Federer don´t have arms of a "little girl".Strength is not proportional to muscle size.Besides, Nadal is a deformed guy. Look his arms left so much developed than the other. His ass is huge ( it looks more like an ass of a girl than a man). His abdomen is ugly and deformed too.

  • @bragunovskoie

it's a sweet ass... but yeah, force = mass times acceleration. so physics will reward the stronger and faster athlete

  • @bjorncerovsek has nothing to do with strength, nor speed.

all thats is is rotation of the shoulders, hips, and core.

The racket sling shots into the ball from the kinetic energy started from the body's rotation.

there is no "strength" that a professional uses to hit a ball, unless a smash or volley. on the topspin forehand it's all being loose

  • haha and his right leg is bigger than his left XD

  • "watch the ball"

    Thats exactly what it means.

  • I like toast.

  • i like eggs

  • wow he looks so skinny in this vid

  • 0:15 omg a coin in the floor

  • It's amazing how long he keeps his eyes on the impact point well after the ball has been struck

  • it is critical since he uses a 90 sq in. frame. without keeping his eyes on it, he would frame too often.

  • His right forearm is where all the power comes from.

  • His wrists would be stronger than your entire arm

  • you're wrong. technique is the most important thing in determining how hard/fast the ball will go. thats why he hits them so well, his technique is amazing. in terms of strength hes an average guy. what do you think hes made of metal or something? just LOOK at his arms, they are small. muscle size is directly proportional to strength. i guarentee the most he could bench is about 170.

  • You're right about his arms, clearly he has the biceps of a little girl but gaurunteed his wrist is very strong and mid forearm. You need a strong wrist to swing a stick that weight, that fast.

  • First of all muscle size is not directly proportional to strength, and Roger Federer's arms are not small by any means. Have you seen the size of his forearms?

  • Actually strength is not proportional to size but more to the muscle fibers themselves, on a more intricate level. Anatomical factors also play a big part in determining strength. Compare a body-builder and a weightlifter, the body builder has more muscle, yet the weightlifter is physically stronger.

  • I was hoping noone would bring up the weightlifter vs bodybuilder thing, haha. However, i think something like that only happens in extreme circumstances. For the most part, the bigger the muscle, the stronger it is. think about it simply, when you get stronger, do your muscles get bigger? yes. When your muscles get bigger, are you stronger? yes. Its also something as simple as comparing an elephant to a mouse. Which is stronger? Size isn't everything, true, but it is directly proportional.

  • An increase in muscle is directly proportional to an increase in strength, yes, but that doesn't mean that size in one person means stronger than the other. Weightlifters vs body-builders is not a freak example, they are the epitomes of muscle size and strength: Weightlifters train for strength, body-builders train for size, it's quite simple. Of course an elephant is stronger than a mouse, but if they were the same size it might well be the other way around.

  • His grip is actually a strong eastern grip(between east-semi west).

  • cant copy his fh however close u may think u are...just stick to good ol semiwestern grip unlike his extreme eastern grip..

  • this is a result of his great footwork, balance and position from the ball. a top-formed federer is as good as watching God himself play

  • Roger Federer (2) is one of the best players ever but you must recognize that Fernando González (11) has the best forehand without topspin (a real flat forehand).

  • Federer has the greatest forehand in tennis, it's like a liquid whip. Everytime he uses his forehand it like him cracking a whip. Federer is King!

  • federer is amazing! A legend forever ^.^

  • For some reason, I feel like holding my breath when I watch him move like this in slow motion. It's so beautiful...

  • King

  • Your videos are really good!! Thanks so much for good job!

  • good quality

  • yes I noticed that he jumps as he hits the ball , but that's because of the acceleration of the raquet , it's better to keep both feet on the ground.

  • Are you sure? Don't copy the #1? I'd do that, for sure! If I play 5% of what he does, I'm pretty happy! Just doing this topspin forehand I think its a good start

  • but hes mastered it over some time so only advanced people should copy

  • what you see here is the product of years of blood sweat and tears. to copy something like that as a beginner would basically rob of the foundations of tennis, the "basics," if you will. to not establish solid basics before attempting the high flying, flashy, "cool" shots would be like trying to build a perfect pyramid upside down. it might work, but it'd fall over pretty damn quick. and thats what would happen to your game when flashy boy go up against a less flashy player with solid basics

  • federer has the most fluid forehand in the world and his backhand is also is in the top 5 onehanders in the world not because of pace but because he has a lot of variation in it. He has the most variation I have ever seen in a backhand with the way he sets up his points. Even though people are getting better and closing the gap on him he is geting better also so im positive that he will atleast get 4-5 grandlam titles if not more.

  • He is being sarcastic or are most of you to retarded to know that. If you would look at the bottom of his message then all of you retardes would know that he is a fed fan. Read the whole message before you accuse.

  • so u saying that he is lucky to get into the top rank and lucky to ba ale to hit the ball ...... THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE CAREER???

  • how stupid can be a person who says that most of federer's shots are just lucky, that had to be spaceclav, ass.

dude, how stupid can a person be by not being able to tell sarcasm apart from being serious?

  • mmmh try to lock exactly at 0:13 that string are too elastic...mmh

  • No, the pros just hit them THAT hard.

  • wrong. federer actually strings his racket relatively loosely. it makes for a trampoline effect, which gives him his blistering power. plain and simple, he's so good that he can control that power extremely well.

  • Does anyone know the forehand grip federer is using? or is it always changing depending on shot selection?

  • right in between eastern and semi-western...base of index finger on the corner between the bevels

  • it looks like a semi western grip to me because his contact point is a bit earlier than if he used an eastern grip

  • how stupid can be a person who says that most of federer's shots are just lucky, that had to be spaceclav, ass.

  • most of them are lucky,

HAHAH 10 grand slams with a few thousand LUCKY shots, wow, hes one lucky man.

    federer forever

  • I think they're misunderstanding you lol!! They think you are actually saying he's lucky haha.

  • lol u re crazy !!

  • Fed fanatics he was being sarcastic

  • nice closed racket face for topspin

  • brillian.just a pleasure towatch his magıcal movement.btw he ıs alsovery cute here:)

  • watch how relaxed his face is throughout the enitre shot...then watch Gonzo, Nadal and Roddicks face when they swing

  • did you noticed ? when hes hittin the ball hes smiling a little ... just like thinkin "jeah ... another great shot from me baby " , but hes not arrogant x)

  • lol

  • well I don't know about Gonzo or ROddick, but Nadal looks like he's been hit with a frying pan :D

  • ROFL! I totally agree

  • prectice shots makes him best

  • see his concentration?

he never loses the ball out of sight and thinks every shot..

thats what makes reger federer an incredible player..his ability to multifocus on the ball, court and player at the same time.

  • thats the hardest thing to do...keep focus on the fall at the same time the player

  • simply amazing

  • His movements are really graceful. His strong poing is his timing and focusing on the ball. That makes him the best

  • yo, check the "Australian Open 2008 --PARODY-- Arnie & Dj Krmak" on youtube..its hilarious hahaha

  • haha thats the same racket as me!

  • That means you're a racket. -_-

  • He's just a fuckin genius

  • too close. Also, the entire forehand swing starts from the ready position, not just when the racquet is back. I'd like to see super slows from Fed's ready position.

    Roger Rocks!

  • Federer uses a three quarters eastern. It is almost to a semi, but not quite. Blake also uses a grip similar to this.

  • looks like an eastern forehand to me

  • it is

  • you cant see the swing!

  • look at the face, he is a machine!

  • between semi western-full western i think.

i jus don't get how he hits his forehnad soo fast. like a flash.

  • Sorry but I think you got it wrong, I believe it is between semi-wes and eastern, you can tell by the follow through and just the way he hits

  • Does anyone know what grip Federer uses on his forehand?

  • what do you mean grip ??

  • it's called being focused, I'm just the same way

  • we don't give a fuck about u y do u come on this video and talk about your self u fuck ball

  • Tis a thing of beauty

  • the greats at any sport are always the most focused

  • i love the hair

  • federers amazing . one of a kind

thats all you can say . lol

  • NO ONE keeps their eye on the ball as long as Federer...and he keeps his head so still through the shot. His techinique is unparalleled!

  • throughout the whole motion, his face is the same. He does not make a face like many other players do. It's amazing. He does make it look effortless.

  • Man, even close up and slowed down it still looks effortless. What a beast!

  • wow!! perfect!!

  • Federer is the best

  • I don't think anyone other player on tour can keep their facial reaction so calm. Simply amazing.

  • That's beautiful, lol

  • Fed is too good. The best!!!
