Federer don´t have arms of a "little girl".Strength is not proportional to muscle size.Besides, Nadal is a deformed guy. Look his arms left so much developed than the other. His ass is huge ( it looks more like an ass of a girl than a man). His abdomen is ugly and deformed too.
you're wrong. technique is the most important thing in determining how hard/fast the ball will go. thats why he hits them so well, his technique is amazing. in terms of strength hes an average guy. what do you think hes made of metal or something? just LOOK at his arms, they are small. muscle size is directly proportional to strength. i guarentee the most he could bench is about 170.
You're right about his arms, clearly he has the biceps of a little girl but gaurunteed his wrist is very strong and mid forearm. You need a strong wrist to swing a stick that weight, that fast.
First of all muscle size is not directly proportional to strength, and Roger Federer's arms are not small by any means. Have you seen the size of his forearms?
Actually strength is not proportional to size but more to the muscle fibers themselves, on a more intricate level. Anatomical factors also play a big part in determining strength. Compare a body-builder and a weightlifter, the body builder has more muscle, yet the weightlifter is physically stronger.
I was hoping noone would bring up the weightlifter vs bodybuilder thing, haha. However, i think something like that only happens in extreme circumstances. For the most part, the bigger the muscle, the stronger it is. think about it simply, when you get stronger, do your muscles get bigger? yes. When your muscles get bigger, are you stronger? yes. Its also something as simple as comparing an elephant to a mouse. Which is stronger? Size isn't everything, true, but it is directly proportional.
An increase in muscle is directly proportional to an increase in strength, yes, but that doesn't mean that size in one person means stronger than the other. Weightlifters vs body-builders is not a freak example, they are the epitomes of muscle size and strength: Weightlifters train for strength, body-builders train for size, it's quite simple. Of course an elephant is stronger than a mouse, but if they were the same size it might well be the other way around.
Roger Federer (2) is one of the best players ever but you must recognize that Fernando González (11) has the best forehand without topspin (a real flat forehand).
Are you sure? Don't copy the #1? I'd do that, for sure! If I play 5% of what he does, I'm pretty happy! Just doing this topspin forehand I think its a good start
what you see here is the product of years of blood sweat and tears. to copy something like that as a beginner would basically rob of the foundations of tennis, the "basics," if you will. to not establish solid basics before attempting the high flying, flashy, "cool" shots would be like trying to build a perfect pyramid upside down. it might work, but it'd fall over pretty damn quick. and thats what would happen to your game when flashy boy go up against a less flashy player with solid basics
federer has the most fluid forehand in the world and his backhand is also is in the top 5 onehanders in the world not because of pace but because he has a lot of variation in it. He has the most variation I have ever seen in a backhand with the way he sets up his points. Even though people are getting better and closing the gap on him he is geting better also so im positive that he will atleast get 4-5 grandlam titles if not more.
He is being sarcastic or are most of you to retarded to know that. If you would look at the bottom of his message then all of you retardes would know that he is a fed fan. Read the whole message before you accuse.
wrong. federer actually strings his racket relatively loosely. it makes for a trampoline effect, which gives him his blistering power. plain and simple, he's so good that he can control that power extremely well.

did you noticed ? when hes hittin the ball hes smiling a little ... just like thinkin "jeah ... another great shot from me baby " , but hes not arrogant x)
too close. Also, the entire forehand swing starts from the ready position, not just when the racquet is back. I'd like to see super slows from Fed's ready position.

he cant hit the ball so flat as he does often for his winners(most of them are lucky btw) with a semi-western, western grip - its got to be close to an eastern though i am not sure if it is purely eastern ... also i guess he mixes it up to get the amount of top spin he needs for the particular shot he plays ... the grip you are saying is used by a big LOSER called Lleyton Hewitt(Loser Hewitt) ...
its pointless close up because u can't see his form

it's a sweet ass... but yeah, force = mass times acceleration. so physics will reward the stronger and faster athlete
bjorncerovsek 2 years ago
@bjorncerovsek has nothing to do with strength, nor speed.
all thats is is rotation of the shoulders, hips, and core.
The racket sling shots into the ball from the kinetic energy started from the body's rotation.
there is no "strength" that a professional uses to hit a ball, unless a smash or volley. on the topspin forehand it's all being loose

it is critical since he uses a 90 sq in. frame. without keeping his eyes on it, he would frame too often.
