they had a couple of problems this year. I watched them at DCI in Bloomington Indiana. its like an hour drive from my house so i go every year. someone fell at the very beginning of their show because they were moving so fast.

Does anyone know what kind of harnesses they have for their Bass Drums? If you dont know what Im talking about, they could spiin the drums. I think the difference between the BD and PR lines is that the BD does eerything a little bit flashier, but the PR just plays their stuff and does it amazingly clean, not that BD doesnt play clean though.

what Bd have done is they have told youtube that if anyone uploads any vids of bd doing what they do best (drill) then the vids should be deleted or rejected. . . then BD changes the whole drill . . . . . . . or so i have heard

Obviously you don't pay much attention to the Blue Devils. They are notorious for this kind of movement during their drum breaks. Look at '03 for an example.

haha, my BD snare friend shared that he didn't know why people got overly excited at the '07 and even this years stuff since the winter drumline (WGI) groups do some even crazier things. IMO BD is just capitalizing on bringing the winter-drumline movement thing to the field. lol

First, WGI is not "thugs" -- what kind of cockeyed hooey is that?

Second, I'd put today's on-the-move players up against the '80's players, happily! I'm one of those '80's players, and I detect no drop in skills whatsoever among these kids. Quite the opposite, in fact -- they freaking kick ass!

Third, they can dance all they want, as far as I'm concerned. It's a natural development of drum corps, and takes it to a fresh new level.

I only wish I could be out there now!

You should put it up. A friend of mine was filming BD in the lot and he took his camera and got some closeups for him. I wasn't there when it happened, but he showed me the footage the next day
