I dont see how u can call these people stupid at all far from it there just doing all they know whats wrong they gotta work and gotta live omg give em a break they are really good
Culture and history have no meaning to the Palagi. They have no culture and the history they have, they spend most of their time hiding the parts they don't want shown. That's why they don't care when they screw it up and call it facts... "Lets add a kid named Skylar to make it more friendly and cool to viewers." frick'n idiots...
haa ! spent xmas holidays back home with my siblings learning how to firedance and twirl the nifo oti ... now imm proud to say im just GREAT at it lol ...
ahahahahaaa..mahn I remeber this guy from last year..lolzz....
oh yea n I so agree with you sekefs684...these palagi commentator is so wrong bout our way of life..the fireknife has been a tradition since way back in history of us islanders..
The video is fine but the narrator is dead wrong. When the Malietoa's would sail around the other islands, in the evening they would perform the dance with fire. If a village did not put out its flame, it was challenging the king. And the fireknife dance would proceed and it was war. Please do not confuse the Samoan Culture with the Hawaiian Commodity. We take pride in our past. In 1946, it(fire-knife dancing) was discovered by the media, not by the the Samoans-we've known about it. Tofa!
What is it that is not wrong?... Be careful because when a story a wrongfully told it can cause a lot of damages to a lot of innocent lives... It is Hawaii where the History should be corrected after all, every Historian live to tell his or her story... Fire or Lady Liberty?..... where she originated from is the fact that still needs to reveal... Little things like these to dispute upon, is a waste of time...
wow, i remember going to the PCC 12 years ago, and never forgetting it. the personalities and the learning experience was amazing. i didn't get to see this version of the fire-starting. this Chief Kap, when he made the fire explode into flame, goddamn that was dope.
Great video! Love it! I visited Hawaii for the first time back in 1988 and saw Samoan Fire Knife Dancing for the very first time. The dance literally spoke to me and I came back home and spent the next several years practicing and have been doing it for almost 20 years and LOVE EVERY MOMENT OF IT!!!
