i use a 1.14mm thick tortex pick in this video. i now use tekpick metal plectrums as they sound ace. a way to stop your strings wobbling too uch wen u pick fast is to use a heavier string gauge, start off with thinner picks and work your way up to the thick ones, or angle your pick slightly so that it almost rolls over the string.
my effects pedal has a terrible connection so it frequently cuts out when i need to change sounds. i tried a few takes with me playing that part but it wasn't working. the part at 3:05 is just my own little passage. i thought id include a little variation.

my guitar was much louder than this on movie maker but then i forgot that it was only coming out of one speaker so when you tube puts the sound in mono it is too quite. i'll remember not to make the same mistake again though. thanks for the comment

Ah - I understand. I always took the electrics out of my pedals and mounted them on boards I made myself - give it a go, it's real easy.
