As somebody who has spent time watching both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions, I must say that the speech Sarah Palin gave was rather weak and uninspired. It seems like anything she could have said, even if it were George-esque goofs, would have been met with wild applaus. These are die-hard republicans who will be swayed by her and McCain no matter what is said, so the audience cheers are a very poor way to indicate exactly how real people felt about her speech.
