Because screen on that MacBook model is very "short," you should set Dock to hide, or move it to side of screen.
I personally like taller "old-school" 4:3 displays, compared to current very wide screens. I use an older iMac with a large external display as my primary screen; iMac's display is off to the right as secondary "extend the Desktop" screen.
I'm thinking about getting a MacBook Air next, and use it the same way when I am sitting at my desk. But it's much more mobile than my iMac. :)
@ken1w What I am trying to say is you can get a netbook with same specs as a macbook air (except OS and probs SSD) for cheaper probably. Just different designs. You can get a netbook to do what a macbook air does really, just different operating systems.
@jeowd My point exactly... saying you can get "same specs except for OS and SSD" is like saying a Volkswagon is the same as a Porsche, except for engine and suspension.
But the low end MacBook Air for $999 is a pretty good "non-Porsche" deal. PC makers find it difficult to match the hardware for the price.
I would not get a computer that runs Windows as its primary OS, so for me, the comparison is irrelevant. But I do have Windows XP as a "virtual machine," on my Mac, using VMware Fusion.
@techreviewer7 IDK, I'm more of a PC guy. But growing up and using the computers in school I would always hear this chime. So I started to hate it. I don't really like anything from apple other than the iPad and iPhone. My brother is the Mac guy lol. So I do use them sometimes.
Shadows in the corner. My macbook air has shadows in the bottom corners. Why....

@jeowd Yeah, it's the "same as a netbook," in the same way that a Volkswagon is the same as a Porsche (they both have four wheels). :)
