    i have been working out for 2 years and in fairly good shape but this is not easy and very effective!

    im very impressed.

    i don't even do regular situps anymore... it just hurts my back and my core doesn't even feel exercised.

    Pilates or exercises that incorporate balancing is the way to go.

    it's not the amount but the quality.

  • Listen guys...Pilates was intended for men originally, the girlies hijacked it! Seriously, Joseph Pilates designed it when he was a gymnast and a boxer and even included sets of exercises for people with damaged backs, necks, joints etc. Variations make it as difficult as you want it to be. An Aussie rugby league team trained in these techniques thinking they were a piece of piss...wrong! Buggers couldn't move the day after. Their game has improved brilliantly. 'Pilates for Men' on Amazon.

  • @alayoo24 you will lose abit.. but you should do cardio too.. cardio burns fat, these exercies burn alittle but tone and build the muscles a bit more

  • Pilates are a lot harder than they look! I just do the pilates one-hundred move everyday. Great results! My abs look good and feel really tight. I still weigh the same (133.5 lbs) but I feel good about myself.

  • If I do this 5 days a week will I get a really flat toned stomach? Ive got quite a flabby belly at the moment and am quite overweight but I am working hard and losing weight!! But looking for a decent ab video to stick to... anybody had good results with this?

  • @StarIsRich - The thing about core muscles is that they wont show unless you are a good/fit weight. A thin layer of fat can easily cover toned core muscles. But if you are getting her heart rate up (jogging, swimming ect.), eating really well, loosing weight and then doing this at least 5 x a week, there is a very good chance it'll get you a nice stomach! The trick to exercising is to do your running first, get your heart rate going and then to do toning/muscle building exercises. Good luck!

I used to do Pilates last year a lot, then I quit & tried other things & now I ended up doing cardio but my Abs never showed, but it felt as if they were hidden by something b/c i'm not Fat, i'm skinny so I decided to try Pilates again & I found this & after i finish I saw a little 4 pack. But obviously it wasn't like hardcore abs that bulged out, it came out a "little"
